I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and overall good benefits. Great paid time off. Good tuition assistance. How much you like the company will vary with who your manager is.

    Cons

Pay is below average. Company sends email after email about how great they are doing and barely give anything for a raise. Benefits are continuing to get worse with the highest deductibles I've ever seen.

    Advice to Management

Stop being greedy with raises. Profit is going up year over year and we get pathetic raises that don't even cover cost of living increases. Stop raising costs on benefits.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great entry level sales job with amazing benefits base pay usually $13 but increases every six months. I definitely recommend for someone trying to get on their feet

    Cons

Commission has changed a lot. They require you to sell more products without giving you a great payout. Which really sucks

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay once you've been there for many years.

    Cons

They don't care about individuals, only that you make money for them. Their compensation plans change constantly so they don't have to pay you as much.

    Advice to Management

care more about employees than policies.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, vacation time, medical, vision, dental insurance, the pay is decent for the retail industry. Sometimes they have small bonuses

    Cons

Management is highly aggressive. If quotes are not met, you are made to come in at 7 AM to do role plays. You constantly have someone over your shoulder listening to every word you say to see if you offer every product they sell. If you don't, you get what's called a "coaching" and it's left on your permanent AT&T if they feel like you weren't perfect. Management constantly walks up to you throughout the day and asks you why you couldn't sell something. Management is rude and they are also hypocrites. They curse and are extremely inappropriate.

Also, about two months ago they dramatically cut the pay for reps. DRAMATICALLY. It went from making $2,000-$3000 commission checks (which are taxed 40% by the government ) to making $800 checks (yep, with it taxed it's barely anything) shame on AT&T to make more money and cut their employees pay! Most of the reps can't afford their bills anymore.

    Advice to Management

Lead by example. Stop pick and choosing what you care about. Be professional and respectful.

    I worked at AT&T full-time

    Pros

At first, I didn't really grasp importance of the all concepts that I was being taught, but now I realize that this company taught me the foundations of customer service which I carry with me today. I learned how to actively listen to others, ask the right questions, and problem solve issues-all skills that I successfully apply to every job that I have had since. While working in customer didn't work out for me, I am truly appreciative of the foundation that I was given.

    Cons

Lack room for advancement at the location where I worked.

    Advice to Management

    Offer more chances for advancement.
