    Pros

    Good pay, decent benefits with paid time off and vacation. Vehicle and tools provided with 8 weeks of paid training.

    Cons

    Steep learning curve with multiple platforms to learn with little or no help from management. Management styles differ radically from team to team.

    Advice to Management

    Not all jobs fit into time frames.

    Pros

    Pay is okay, benefits are decent, some of the guys I’ve become good friends with.

    Cons

    This is where things get long: with everything we focus on in our job, more and more and more work getting sneaked in behind us with them finding massive loopholes in union contracts. Numbers, performance is shoved down our throats, unrealistic goal (don’t ever expect to see a bonus) and if you do chances are you most likely cut a whole heck of a lot of corners and caused the guy that goes behind you to have a major headache fixing your mess.
    Kiss any chance of any kind of advancement goodbye.
    Horrible work life balance. Scheduling is the worst.

    Advice to Management

    Quit piling more work on us without the proper compensation.
    Have the materials we need in order to properly do our jobs
    Maintain your vehicles better.
    Understand we have families that we’d actually like to spend time with.
    Treat us like people and not numbers.

    Pros

    Many lower managers are good people. Hours are steady and plentiful.

    Cons

    Upper management does not care about the workers. The call center where I worked had a toxic environment that was made worse by incomplete training and restrictive time off policies.

    Advice to Management

    Place more value on the front line employees. It's a hard job with a lot of stress and pressure from above makes the environment toxic.

    Managers will tell you to do sketchy things then not back you up when you get caught, didn’t pay me for my vacation after I left, work random hours and random days off,

    Learn how to run your store without ruining people’s careers

    Pros

    Good pay and great benefits. If you like working alone and/or outdoors, you will get plenty of it here.

    Cons

    The company claims that employee safety is a top priority, but all that really means is that they don't want to pay out an insurance claim because of you. You're constantly under a microscope from management and it feels like, from day one, there's a case being built against you so they can fire you. You are randomly given a number of jobs at the beginning of the day, but there is no rhyme or reason as to what they give you, so it could potentially take you until midnight to complete your jobs (assuming customers actually still want you to come when their appointment window passed hours ago). Bringing any of this up to management gets you nowhere. There's constantly equipment shortages and you will often have to leave in the middle of a job to drive across town to pick up whatever you need. Supply orders are constantly weeks behind. I personally was less stressed when I was in the military than I am at this job. It's just not worth it.

    Advice to Management

    Start actually caring about your employees instead of just saying you do. Come up with a better system to balance out the work load evenly among employees.

    Pros

    Great hourly and ok commission.

    Cons

    Incentives and pay structure constantly changing, micro managing on every customer interaction, working every weekend and constantly pushing to sell direct tv that is a dying service. Feel you work 60 hour weeks and get payed for 40. Don’t get me started on the customers.

    Advice to Management

    Make the job more fulfilling. Not every customer is a DTV Sale. We are a sales store not a problem solving store.

    Pros

    Commissions are better than most wireless companies.

    Cons

    I was sexually harrassed repeatedly. I finally built up the courage to say something a couple of years after I left company. The investigator from AT&T said nothing could be done because I needed witnesses. I'm still in therapy because of the hell I endured.

    Advice to Management

    Listen and BELIEVE your employees.
