    Excellent benefits, lots of job opportunities once you are in the company, most supervisors are good to work for/with, good pay, exciting to work with new technologies

    Cons

    lots of politics involved when trying to advance, difficult to get into the company without knowing someone, such a large company that everything takes a long time, sometimes feel like a number

    Pros

    I have great co-workers. Take advantage of their tuition reimbursement and any internal training you can find. Also make sure you sign up with their 401k match when you start.

    Cons

    It’s now more service vs sales. Still starting position so work hours suck, weekend work, teaches no appreciable skill set other than sales/customer service.

    Pros

    Union means great pay, seniority stands for something but in some departments there are very tenured reps.

    Cons

    Very different management types makes adjusting a little difficult, but if you are a well adjusted person, you should fit in well.

    Advice to Management

    Stay uniform in decisions and create and update methods and procedures.

    Company actively trying to lay off employees.
    Consistently adding obstacles to completing work efficiently and with the customer's best interests in mind.

    Treat employees(technicians) with respect and help them grow in their abilities not stifle them.

    For Direct Sales: CRM tool, Work-from-home, networking, training

    Cons

    If your assigned module is in an area that is off network, then you are SOL in making your numbers, and management doesn't care. Company talks about a work/life balance, but that is difficult to achieve. Company prefers IT, or Web savvy individuals. Disappointment after 15 years of achievement to be transitioned out, and name besmirched.

    Advice to Management

    No advice to give, they don't care...

    They threw out many years of experience like day-old trash because they think people over 40 aren't useful anymore.

    Pros

    Really good pay and benefits. In fact the pay and benefits are so good finding another employer to match may be difficult.

    Cons

    Crippling policies and red tape. Constant restrictions put in place to achieve unimportant results which only cause personnel to waste time searching for a work around. Get out of this business why you still can.

    Advice to Management

    There is only one goal. Provide quality service to our customers. All this talk about doing it for cheap is only costing brand reputation and customer loyalty.

    AT&T cares about you from a education and knowledge perspective. They want their employees to be current on technology and skills.

    Cons

    AT&T cares about you until they dont. Surplus situations can be expected every 4Q due to bad financial planning. Any employees outside major hubs can expect to be let go by 2020.

    Advice to Management

    Better financial planning would avoid work slowdown and employee surplus situations in 4Q.
