    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benifits and pay is at industry standards

    Cons

Everything else! No work life ballance. Managements interpreted of contract over union. Union has no teeth anymore. Managment are shady. Placed my 2 weeks notice, my manager said i could use my last 3 personal days and 5 days of vacation time. Payroll didnt pay my last check. Had to fight for it. Had 2 days work on it. They said my time was lost. My manager didnt post my last day on what we signed. Changed it to my last day worked. Very shady!

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, discounts on services, good pay.

    Cons

Constantly shifting focus keeps people off-kilter, goal setting boarders on unrealistic, with threats of termination of goals are not met. This leads to unethical behavior from those desperate to keep their jobs, which makes goals look attainable. Leadership then sets new "stretch goals" and the cycle begins anew.

    Advice to Management

As a manager for this company, I can say that the Network Manager/1st level managers are consistently asked to perform multiple tasks, with little or no support. At one point in my 15+ years here, I was proud to say who I worked for. Now, I wont fo fo the grocery wearing anything bearing the at&t logo.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I had the best management staff anyone can ask for. They were always on the floor working with us never asking as to do things they would not day theirself.

    Cons

I don't feel like the raps got paid what they were worth as long as the hours were, as long as we are on our fate, and we were actually trying to do assistant store manager duties. We should have been compensated for that.

    Advice to Management

Having a good area retail manager makes the store which makes hiring a good store manager easy and I had a good one so I worked for a great store.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get a fairly good check as a technician that installs and troubleshoots AT&T's faulty equipment.

    Cons

The blame is on the wire tech for whatever goes wrong with AT&T's cabling or equipment. Managers are there to find fault in the techs and reasons to complicate a simple job. I got wrote up for parking my van closer to a customer's house, instead of the curb 200ft at the end of the driveway. It's silly things like that you deal with everday. Prepare to be highly stressed and under the worst kind of company nonsense in your life. No life and no family time. You'll begin to feel like a stranger at home, as you come home after dark everyday. This job will make you age prematurely and drain your soul.

    Advice to Management

Really listen to your techs and rally up with your upper managers to reorganize all of this nonsense. You all know it's ridiculous and can't deny that AT&T has a way of dropping the ball. Do you really enjoy being disliked?

    Pros

If you are searching for a company with excellent pay and benefits, room and opportunity for growth, in a fast paced, and diversified environment, this is the company for you! AT&T does not stop with growing and educating its employees though, this company carries that practice into the very communities it serves. The many employee engagement groups within the organization provide outreach and support within the communities we serve.

I am proud to work for a company that not only allows me the opportunity to volunteer all over the country, but actually encourages it!

    Cons

For the hardworking, goal-driven employee there really are no downsides
