I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great pay compared to my past retail jobs. Benefits. Time off. Hour Breaks. Union. A lot of the climate can depend on your store and area managers.

    Cons

Company seems to make it difficult to grow or to transfer. Negotiates awful deals with the union. Tries to limit days off, sick time, makes FMLA a huge hassle. Sales goals can be ridiculous sometimes. A lot of the climate can depend on your store and area manager. My first two were phenomenal. Everyone since has had some shortcomings despite whatever strengths.

    Advice to Management

Raise hourly cap, give more humane sick time. Try to put yourself in someone else's shoes. If your income can to up tens of millions of dollars, maybe sacrifice some of that and the company's profits to go towards the workers who are actually interacting with your customers who pay that money.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been with At&t over a yer. It is one of the great company to work for. It is competitive and sales driven with not only selling wireless also products like directv and digital life. You are working for at&t also working for yourself at the same time.

    Cons

It is hard to take unexpected off days, you have to requested within a month. There is also chance, you may not be able to pick days you want off because someone already requested. Commission plan is getting worse since i have started to work.

    Advice to Management

Management is always there for you to work around yor sales. They will work with you side by side to optimize and close your sale.

    Pros

They have tuition reimbursement that's a plus. As a part timer you can make your own schedule. You don't only get and hourly check you also get commissions.

    Cons

Management doesn't have your back. Depending on the store you work at everyone is very divided and it's every woman/man for themselves.

    Advice to Management

Management should care more about they're sales consultants and work with them rather than always trying to penalize them.
