    Pros

    Great company to work for! Pay and benefits are good and compare to similar organizations of same size. Room for advancement if willing to relocate to Texas.

    Cons

    If you want to advance in the company you will need to move to Texas.

    Pros

    Broad selection of customers to work with. Major player in marketplace.

    Cons

    Strategic shifts occur too frequently, lack of funding and commitment to projects. Lower degree of loyalty to employees. Still maintains a "Bell" system culture.

    Advice to Management

    Devise more realistic metrics for product development and measure of success. Define and sustain a strategy for 18 month periods.

    Get in, do your job, go to school, graduate, and get out!

    - Lay-Offs. - No job advancement. If this TW deal goes through expect a few thousand more jobs lost.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Benefits are worthwhile, salary is somewhat competitive for the region. Unfortunate that layoffs are ongoing to meet merger requirements right now.

    Cons

    Upper management has it agenda. Lower level managers don't know what this is and are left in the dark

    Listen to lower level management.

    at&t Middletown NJ - Good place to work at - is a place where you can find some very smart people and others that are just playing a waiting game (Ret).

    Management out of touch with what is going on lower in the ranks.

      I have been working at AT&T full-time

      Pros

      At&t has a great benefits program whether it be there 401k, stock investments, ATT has a pretty good vacation policy and more added time each year your there. AT&T has paid holidays and pto for any holiday worked.

      Cons

      AT&T is very time consuming when it comes meeting quota. There are a lot of goals you need to hit and some of them there is no commission on. AT&T caps your pay at 16.70 but your commission is in capped but mangable to teir up.

      stand up to area managers who set unrealistic expectations.

      I worked at AT&T for more than 9 years

      Pros

      Great pay, and good perks; discount on cell plans, security systems, television service and internet.

      Cons

      Long hours, no balance between work and family. Unrealistic quotas on everything, even non sales related things. Too much micro management.

      Advice to Management

      Stop the micro management and allow the sales teams to make most decisions without waiting for Presidential approval.
