I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good corporate structure to move up if you want to go that route. Good relocation options. Assistant managers make good money if you want to go that route.

    Cons

One week after starting after training, they changed the pay structure, and we are expected to smile after having a up to $40,000 pay cut. top earners were making $75k/year now it is capped at around 40 if you crush your numbers every single month

    Advice to Management

maybe advertise Digital Life more? It's a hard sell to get someone to buy a home security system when they just want a phone...

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great pay, so many products to be sold that you can make money a lot of different ways.

    Cons

You could never be good enough. At times, there were TOO MANY products to sell, and until you sell every product to every customer (which will never happen because that's not good selling), than you are not doing your job correctly in their eyes. Not a good career path either unless you brown nose all the right people.

    Advice to Management

Do better at exploiting peoples strengths. Its a team effort, not everybody is going to be proficient at selling everything. As long as they try, take what they ARE good at and really let them shine and be a SME for their strength.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay but lots of rules and new bosses.

    Cons

I had 2x the number of managers there as years I was employed.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they are worth or get rid of them and follow through with business strategy.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and lots of over time.

    Cons

They have no respect for you or your personal life. Their "number system" is horrible and its all they know.

    Advice to Management

The employees are people with lives outside of the company.

    Pros

You get paid for what you want to make. This obviously requires pressuring customers to purchase more or using trigger words to make the sale sound greater than it actually is.

    Cons

Values can sometimes get stepped on by the goals of the company. This is not a job for Christians. This job involves manipulation.
