    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Company benefits including tuition reimbursement and 401k match
    - Access to training and a lot of career development resources
    - Name recognition and credibility when you’re ready to move on

    Cons

    - The drive toward “vision 2020” is seeing a lot of talented ppl surplused
    - Organizations within the company are tribalistic and they make every effort to only promote from within their area.
    - Don’t drink the corporate kool aid and think they care about anything other than the stock price. Get your experience and get out of there.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing a great job of increasing the stock price.

I have been working at AT&T (Less than a year)

    Pros

Corporate benefits, 401k,healthcare, commission on top of hourly rate, management is great at mentoring, large company with room to grow

    Cons

Weekend and holiday hours- what you would expect working a retail position. Commission could be tough especially with competition for high volume sales- stand your ground and follow up with your leads to close deals

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large discounts on all AT&T services, as well as half off of most accessories. Very good insurance and 401K matching. Relatively laxed work attire. Never typically have to work too early or too late. Advance opportunities are present.

    Cons

Too much focus on nickel and dime-ing every customer who walks in, and then you’re scolded for not selling an 85-year-old woman an iPad and DirecTV.
Too much focus is placed on sales, and yet they closed down service centers forcing customers with issues to go to retail stores. The sales staff is grossly under-compensated for the work they are expected to do.

    Pros

    Good pay
Union, make a lot of friends, bonus money , lowered at&t phone bill

    Cons

Management is constantly on top of you, they try to break the rules of the union for their own gain. You have no life working here, constantly stressed out

    Advice to Management

Stop being so strict on employees
