    Pros

    Pay is great with good health benefits. Ability to move up and branch into different positions within the company. Great initial training, as well as, additional training throughout.

    Cons

    Long hours, often needed to be available even when off. If looking to be promoted, must be willing to relocate.

    Pros

    Good money, benefits are good if you're full time otherwise no one can afford it.

    Cons

    Horrible hours, if you have any sort of life it will be over when working. No way to have a serious work/life balance. It is retail so you get treated like dirt and are expected to ask for more and thank them, at times. Management gets "Restructured" quite often so consistency is out the window. Our ability to make money has been decreasing every year while our CEO has given himself raises.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Direct TV for $10 monthly.
    -Good experience if you have never done sales before and want to be in sales.

    Cons

    -Low volume store
    -Condescending supervisor
    -After every sale you have to basically explain the transaction
    -Low pay
    -Low commissions
    -Union is nothing special
    -Fellow employees were not fun to work with
    -Overall not impressed but blessed to have employment

    Advice to Management

    Treat people like people. Pay people a comfortable wage. Provide health care and paid time off from day one. STOP MICROMANAGING! Hire and/or promote management based on talent and people skills. Eliminate point system. This is a entry level position so avoid over selling the position especially in low volume stores.

    Pros

    Solid Pay.
    Intelligent workforce.
    Benefits both medically and financially, with solid retirement options.

    Cons

    Changing Comp Plans.
    Rational and Irrational goal-setting pressure weights downward, that usually ends up putting a wedge between management and sales.
    The manager can make or break a store, and sometimes, you get the wrong kind of energy, and the store becomes slightly painful, to miserable, very quickly, without much recourse.

    Advice to Management

    Don't use greed to get sales, use solutions, and find success the right way, even if it takes a little longer.

    Good pay, good benefits, ability for promotion, can be fun depending on the team

    Cons

    Can be demanding, every style of management is different, promotion doesn't necessarily pay you better (unless you are promoted after some years), no true work/life balance (it's retail!)
