I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

AT&T truly cares about its employees and tries to retain and develop them. They make every effort to find new opportunities for dedicated employees when job shifts occur. Technologically they are reinventing themselves as a software company. A great place to work that still values commitments employees have made over time, and I say this as a relatively new hire.

    Cons

Like any big company, there are challenges with a complex organization . Some inefficiencies result.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing forward and recognize that we won't get where we want to be overnight, but we will get there.

Coworkers and environment at Big Data are great. Bosses treat you well and want to see you succeed. Interns are encouraged to seek training opportunities to deepen their skills.

Sometimes in between projects there is down time, and retention isn't the greatest. Lately there has been some reorganization, which can be stressful.

I worked at AT&T as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good experience overall. Colleagues were very helpful. Atmosphere was chilled out and there was no rush to complete the project. Was given ample amount of time to understand the project and contribute.

    Cons

People are laid back and don't take initiative to do something new or optimize existing stuff. It's not primarily engineering company so if you know how to talk, you will go far longer in career.
