I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits, high compensation, work from home, discounts on products and services.

    Cons

No loyalty- laid off after 20 years - 5 years before retirement. They are offshoring jobs and getting rid of loyal employees. 3-4 surplus/workforce reductions per year. Never know when your number will be pulled. Overall great experience until the end.

I worked at AT&T full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Great way to meet like-minded and aged individuals early in your career - Very diverse group of people working in the Irving office - A great place to get comfortable with cold-calling because that was majority of the job - Great pay compared to most entry-level sales programs

    Cons

    - ABSOLUTELY NO JOB SECURITY IN THE “DEVELOPMENT” PROGRAM - Titled a development program with little to no actual time out into developing great sellers - Onve our of the classroom expect to learn everything as you go or from peers who know just as much as you do - If you don’t have a manager that is willing to actually develop you and have your back, GOOD LUCK!! - Unfair treatment and ample accommodations of POC compared to the more European staff - Constant changes and “pilot” initiatives that could NOT have been thought out before implementing - There’s always something that will stop you from placing into your next role
