    Pros

Reasonable Pay and Commission and Decent Benefits

    Cons

Terrible personal experience with the store manager, consistent micro-managing. The company cares more about profits than taking care of employees.

    Advice to Management

Become more receptive to employee input and develop a better relationship with employees and management

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great hourly and ok commission.

    Cons

Incentives and pay structure constantly changing, micro managing on every customer interaction, working every weekend and constantly pushing to sell direct tv that is a dying service. Feel you work 60 hour weeks and get payed for 40. Don’t get me started on the customers.

    Advice to Management

Make the job more fulfilling. Not every customer is a DTV Sale. We are a sales store not a problem solving store.

    I worked at AT&T part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits, best earning potential in wireless.

    Cons

Management depends on location but the union keeps it pretty fair.

Union workers mean the lazy get to slide and the hard workers get to put in lots of time.

TV isn’t the easiest thing to sell, but you get a lot of exceptional support from management most of the time.

In the end it’s all about your numbers and you do get a fair amount of wiggle room, but you’ve definitely got to put in some effort if you want to earn.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting the comp plans, go easier on the attendance policy, and please get out of TV sales. It’s a dying business and the stock price reflects that.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Compensation is better than most entry level positions

    Match 401K

    Reimbursement for school (business major)

    Paid Holidays

**This is a RETAIL job, do NOT expect to leave on time!

    Cons

Unless you have seniority, you need the flexible availability & will not have a set schedule other than closing shifts.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, okay retail hours, you get to stand around on your phone for hours when it’s not busy

    Cons

Terrible politics among management that trickles down, questionable and unethical management.

    Advice to Management

My experience with management was terrible. I was told many things during and after my job that were said about me and completely unprofessional. I was also lied to so and ultimately cohearsed out of receiving my maternity pay. They are very manipulative and certainly not a place where you would want to grow and stay with.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Potential to make a lot of money
Good schedule when you have been there a while
    Union protection for sales rep

    Cons

Can take a while to move up in the company
Work / Life could be better
REALLY big push on selling TV

    Advice to Management

The aggressive approach to selling TV isn't great. It often times leaves a sour taste in the customer's mouth. Also, look into improving the quality of customer care reps.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Get to sell honest and good products and services. Get paid pretty well.

    Cons

Way too stressful for the type of job that it is.

    Advice to Management

Always to any management, act like you’ve been in the seller’s shoes before, show a little compassion here and there.
