I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

My coworkers are very hardworking under less than ideal circumstances.

    Cons

The company tells you to your face that you are appreciated and EXTRAORDINARY then at the bargaining table all they want to do is take back everything. They refuse to bargain a FAIR CONTRACT and want to lower benefits and penalize us in any way they can while the bottom line is SUPER HEALTHY and Upper Management makes thousands of dollars AN HOUR!!!!

    Advice to Management

Put your money where your mouth is! Us EXTRAORDINARY REPS deserve a FAIR CONTRACT! We deserve our jobs kept in the USA. We deserve decent medical benefits. We deserve an attendance policy that makes sense (We are given more sick days to use than we can before being terminated for attendance!)

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Solid company that has been around and is at the forefront of the technology revolution. They are creating the future with the help if thousands of Union members around the us.

    Cons

The company's greed to not provide us Union members with a fair and balanced contract only proves the point that they are putting their profits above not only their employees but also above their customers. Customers expect world class service and they won't receive that from off shoring jobs. Our customers will receive their world class service from the helpful and knowledgeable Union members across the U.S. who work tirelessly to provide great customer service.

    Advice to Management

Tell Randall Stevenson and the rest of the upper leadership team that our Union has come to the table on numerous occasions with the concerns and desires of their employees and the company is refusing to meet us halfway. They feel it is okay to push more costs to their employees while saying they care. They feel it's okay to offshore jobs while making us work more with us. Their greed is drowning us.

    Pros

Good people when it comes to technicians

    Cons

Everyone and everything else. You are but a number to them.

    Advice to Management

Please treat your technician with respect. We are humans not machines.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers, health benefits, paid time off

    Cons

Schedule, nothing but tech support, less pay than what it was. Nobody likes their job anymore

    Advice to Management

Go back to the old comp plan.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good salary and benefits. Amazing discounts on products. 50% off cellular discounts. DTV discount unheard of. Free home phone. Very low price/FAST (depending on where you live) Internet.

    Cons

Outside group has a horrible "good ole boys" reputation. They talk about equality and integrity---but it is just for show.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the customer facing employees! We are telling you what is happening out there.

    Pros

Benefits are great. But if you get hurt on the job you get fired.

Not able to get time off to see doctor.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to at least see doctor for wellness check up.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Tiny pay increase every year.
Union gig. Union will vary depending on where you live.
    Educational reimbursement.
    Moderately health 401k.

    Cons

The management of the company will drive the normal person insane.
The turnover rate is around 60 to 75%.
Every thing is your fault even if it is out of your control.
They don't want you to move up in to better position in the company. The exception is management.
You will develop some form mental illness from the abuse.
    You may become divorced.
You may develop substance abuse problems.
    Work hours become unreasonable.

    Advice to Management

Treat your uverse employees with some dignity. We are the lowest paid techs in the company yet we are the ones bring in the profits. The people who are the level 2 management and above need ethics classes quit using a stacked deck against your employees. We know the reward program is a lie. Also if someone has accepted a job in another division in another state. Don't lie about the release date to the tech. While telling the other managers that their no longer interested.

I have been working at AT&T part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Union covered job so this company, unlike others in AZ cannot fire you for something they made up. They offer benefits and compensation.

    Cons

The benefits are a joke, the compensation (commission) is now a joke, and the hourly is not expected to increase. Pay has significantly decreased over my time at AT&T. While the CEO (Randall Stephenson) had a record year (2016), we at the bottom made less than we ever have. I took a pay pay cut of $13,000 while Randall made $28.3 Million. We are constantly told we're not doing enough; by assistant managers, who had it passed down to them from store managers, who had it passed down to them from area managers and so on.

    Advice to Management

Stand up for your employees against the greed of the company.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

put more thought into who you chose to downsize

    Pros

good pay if youve been there for a while , once you get to top pay

    Cons

Moral was non existent in the sales department, management is not forthcoming about internal changes and be ready for several surplus, layoffs and firings within the office atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Dont allow co workers to become managers in a 24 hour period. proper procedures were not in place for promotions.
