    Pros

Quality products, innovative ideas for the future

    Cons

Management completely out of touch with front line and how customers view AT&T as a whole. Too many managers believe customers will go with them just because their name is AT&T when all customers care about is quality products and service at a great price.

    Advice to Management

get out of your office and understand what the business customer wants and needs.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company, market leader. Moving into the entertainment field offering new opportunities for growth. Excellent online training resources for skill development.

    Cons

No management promotion opportunities unless an employee relocates to Dallas or Atlanta. Very stingy on budget and benefits are not steller..

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and actually put plans in place for a better more energized workforce.

I have been working at AT&T (More than a year)

    Pros

Pros that the company had a few years ago like being between the most solid wireless provider companies are no longer present. Benefits like sick pay, vacation pay etc. but these you can most likely get with any other employer.

    Cons

Company is going thru a changing process, lot of expense cuts, commissions and incentives are constantly being reduced(which don"t make a lot of sense when the company keeps spending billions buying out other companies), too much corporate greed. They expect to keep raising sales metrics and goals while reducing compensation. If they keep running this company like they are doing now I don't think they will keep a place within the best wireless carriers(which we can see as of recently even T-mobile is rolling thru AT&T). Also career opportunities are very limited.

I worked at AT&T as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people if they haven't been laid off yet or down sized. Directv to att architecture is a night and day difference.

    Cons

Say one thing to your face do another behind your back. Get it in writing so you have a leg to stand on.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time

    Pros

Very competitive pay, 50% off ATT Services, $20 for DIRECTV

    Cons

A lot of benefits have been diluted since acquisition from ATT. In addition the culture has really dwindled (its really just not fun anymore), the staff is running on a skeleton crew and does not accommodate schooling. Leadership positions have not opened in close to two years. DIRECTV NOW is quickly gaining traction, which will leave no need for customer service due to all support being overseas chat.
