They do a lot of downsizing and that makes it difficult to concentrate on work, when you do not know how long your job will be there.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are incredible. Pay rate is also better than most. For that rate, there is a lot expected of you in your role, however, you are compensated for it.

    Cons

There is very limited room to grow. With the company plan to basically remove retail locations for the most part by 2020, the consumer and the employees will be the ones who suffer the most. Clearly not the people towards the top as they continue to slash workforce in all areas of the company, and continue to give themselves a pay raise. The execs should run for pubic office, they have politics play down to a science. Be ready to give up your home life, be ready to deal with changing and unattainable expectations on a whim.

    Advice to Management

Advice is just hot air that blows the well maintained quaffs that adorn the tops of their heads. As long as it doesn't cause a ripple or mess things up, they let it go in one ear and out the other.

    Pros

Commission is good if your a top seller
    Discounts on services
You earn money on a reward card that you can use anywhere

    Cons

They will try not to pay you for your work
Management screws over reps /coworkers to get ahead
Your not valued just a number and can be replaced top selling or not
No open door policy you voice a concern you will get fired
Purposely pick on someone to get them fired if they want you out
Zero and I mean ZERO work life balance

    Advice to Management

Be truthful, care about your employees not just as robots who earn you money .

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits are about the only pro to working here you get 401K that the company matches but other than that the other benefits are blah

    Cons

For the benefits that you get you pay a monthly premium of $300 and then you still have a deductible of $3000. All of your prescriptions that you need well no discount on those unless your deductible is meet.
Upper management only looks at the front line managers and employees as a number. They pretend like they like you to your face and then an hour later you are getting an email ripping you a new one.
    Nothing is ever good enough.
The company was really good before Brian Shay got his position since then all down hill. Being over your quota for the month at 130% still isn't good enough for them they still want more. If you are a white male and looking for any promotion you better look at a different company. I have been trying to get promoted for the past 3 years an nope I am white and the others are not.

    Advice to Management

Pull the stick out of your Butt and quit trying to rule the world. You are getting so tight on your expenses that you spend on your employees but year you give the CEO a 20% raise. And not to mention 20billion dollars in revenue in 2016 that is a lot of money but no way you will ever give back to your employees that have earned it.
