I worked at AT&T (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of good reasons to work for AT&T. There are many job opportunities if you are able to relocate to Atlanta or Texas. AT&T offers great benefits and a lot of in house training opportunities.

    Cons

The current direction the company is going in has resulted in numerous lay offs of people who have spend years helping the company grow.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time

    Pros

It's competitive which means we get to be creative and use our talents. If you have what it takes, the rewards are solid.

    Cons

Ever changing, have to be able to meet a series of new needs every month. Almost zero consistancy.

    Advice to Management

Management is given years of consistently successful trainings, no changes need to be made.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Challenging yet rewarding work, I can work from home which is great, I am always reachable with my laptop and cell phone. Love my customers

    Cons

Due to employee reductions, working 2 modules plus supporting multiple sellers on top of my own customers. Many changes and constant threat of instability for our roles.

    Advice to Management

People, not automation is what customers want. Personality and follow through builds trusting partnerships

I have been working at AT&T as an intern

    Pros

    -Company invests in employees
-Innovative and pivoting to TMT (telecom, media, tech)
    -Culture of relationship building

    Cons

-there does not seem to be an established process of internship program being a pipeline for fulltime hires. They do have development programs for college graduates though.
-Different teams have different cultures so your experience may depend on your team/unit.

    Advice to Management

Give rising senior interns who were a good fit an offer upon the completion of their internship if you want to win good talent!

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not stuck behind a desk with manager breathing down your neck.

    Cons

Hard labor for the pay. A lot of frustrating days. Training for job is not the reality when you hit the field. Processes are built of double standards.

    Advice to Management

Sympathize with your technicians struggles rather than applying pressure based on metrics.
