    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

AT&T is a good company, they have decent benefits.

    Cons

Make sure you interview your manager in your interview. All managers are not created equally. Some managers lack forward thinking and vision. The benefits are slowly being taken away.

    Advice to Management

Some of them don't have integrity and they are infesting the people that work for them and upper management either don't know or they turn a blind eye. They need to change, but some of them are too far gone.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get paid a good hourly, and normally you can get better hours than the sales reps.
Benefits are great, as well as monthly discounts. It's tough at first because no one really knows how to do the job, but once you learn you stick to yourself and don't have people hounding you.

    Cons

    Under appreciated by sales reps.
    Store babysitter
They take the " chief of staff" title way too far.
No room to grow if you want to excel operationally.
It's so hard to make it to corporate. They make you climb this retail ladder just for you to be stuck in a store for years and never making it.
There is no way to make it to corp if you aren't a store manager. It doesn't matter if you have a masters degree.

    Advice to Management

You need to open positions for people to excel in positions other than sales.
Make it more available for retail employees that have the qualifications to move to entry level corp positions

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Very good environment/pay
    - Good management in my area
    - Products are worth the effort to sell
    - Good investment in training/education

    Cons

    - Company is going through a shift in focus, few jobs are safe
    - Too MANY products to sell, pitching all to customer can leave them overwhelmed

    Advice to Management

Investing more in employee engagement, that was something that changed in the last few years as results driven focus overtook keeping your work force positively engaged.

Peers- great peer teams and networks, lifelong friendships created
Benefits- comparable if not better than most companies

    Do invest in their people

    Cons

    work life balance not great
upper management not as willing to change as they teach/preach
sales quotas were sometimes set or changed unrealistically (it's sales I get it)

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Mostly worked from home. Enjoyed my job, tasks and activities working projects and working with SMEs. Talented resources. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Too many organizational changes constantly adapting to new leadership. Process on top of process. No reward for good work. No raises, salary is not competitive for wanted experience. Constantly dealing with furloughs for contractors and pay cuts no matter how long you have been with the company. Some on site locations are not well maintained. Not many advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Reward consistent good work from your contractors. They should not face a pay cut after years of excellent service. Control organizational changes. Clean offices more.
