    Pros

    Flexible schedule and great benefits. A solid position for someone to spend a career in. Also, reward trips are a blast.

    Cons

    A lot of fire drills and task that just happen to pop up. Can at times be over stimulating. If you're a male of European descent, good luck advancing.

    Advice to Management

    Seen out performers, less focus on "networking"

    Pros

    Compensation, Vacation and Benefits were a huge plus. The discounts in services were also second to none. It is a very challenging role but when you are successful you get rewarded for the work that is done.

    Cons

    The work life balance was difficult at times as it would require 60+ hour work weeks to remain successful in the position.

    Pros

    Not sure. Very unstable last couple of years with a lot of layoffs more on the way, doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there.

    Cons

    Job is never secure no matter how well you do. I would recommend never putting your eggs in one basket and always be looking for the next opportunity

    Pros

    Opportunity for growth within the company, employee resource access; great benefits program both from a insurance benefit along with the vacation benefits. So much opportunity to move within different opportunities within the company and they have a great educational program that assist in getting your degree so education and development is highly valued within the organization not to mention access to nanodegree opportunities within the company and leadership development programs.

    Cons

    Depending on the portion of the company you work for a great level of commitment is needed to be successful. As long as you are comfortable with that you will be just fine.

    Advice to Management

    Let's continue listening to the people with their ear close to the community and frontline and continuing to pivot and be agile moving towards 2020.

    No job stability. The company restructures cost employee jobs.

    Don't forget that your decisions to cut jobs effect more than just the employees - it effects familys as well.

    Pros

    Flexibility and good compensation. Stable organization with great products to sell! The company has been investing heavy in strategy and acquisitions. Great people work for organization and concept of fun work environment is definitely a hope.

    Cons

    Direction of leadership has recently been not trusting employees to do their jobs. Requiring activity standards that are unrealistic with the tools they provides. Systems outside sales use are antiquated and not efficient. No good crm to support sales efforts.

    Trust employees and cultivate fun work atmosphere

    I worked at AT&T (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    This was truly a company I loved working for at one time. The job was exciting, challenging, rewarding and most of all the people I worked with were amazing. Certain leaders were exceptional. Allowed me the autonamy to run my business and grow my team. Other leaders were micromanagers due to their own insecurities. But at the end of the day I made some amazing relationships and this was truly the best. The positives certainly out weigh the negative.

    Cons

    Mergers and acquisitions equals work force reduction. Leadership paints "flattening the organization" as a positive result of increasing in size. I completely understand the need to grow and be competitive as a business, after all this is a for-profit business. What I don't accept is executive bonuses and shareholder returns at the cost of reducing the work force to a skeleton crew. Having one person complete the work of four is not conducive to work life balance. In fact there is no work life balance. Its more of a work OR life choice.

    Advice to Management

    Reduce the number of CEO's you have and increase the number of front line and support staff.

    Huge assets
    Great investments in the future (trainings, infrastructure, planning, etc)
    Strategically sound and stable
    Cutting edge and ever-changing industry
    Diversified portfolio into many many products and solutions

    Cons

    Too large to be managed properly
    Greed and dishonesty run rampant in sales organization
    Highly stressful in the sales organization, even for top achievers

    Advice to Management

    Need to care about people more, and not just acting as such.
    Weed out leaders with unethical tendencies, as well as those that are just in it for themselves alone.

    Pros

    Good income, benefits, and pension. Company provides many resources and there is growth potential for your career if you know the right people.

    Cons

    Schizophrenic business model. They have so many changing lines of business yet are loosing market of their core business. No loyalty to employees. Want to make sales at all costs. Heavy work load and unrealistic goals. Upper management not aligned with frontline workers, all they want are results but don't support the frontline in achieving.

    Advice to Management

    Terrible level of support. Either get the sales or be fired, that message is clear. Offer to everyone even if they don't need it (DTV), and 20 things to try to sell every guest (and these things change all the time). Also no loyalty to their workers, will term you for very simple and honest mistakes. Cutthroat!
