    I worked at AT&T part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good immediate management, good hours

    Cons

Tough escalations, unrealistic commission goals set by upper leadership and cutting commission every chance they can get which makes for fast turnover, AT&T keeps opening new channels that cut into commission and sales like enjoy which is a door to door service except you have to deal with all they’re mistakes after they screw something up so you could have just payed store reps more.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting our commission, This used to be a 55-60k paying job full time now our reps are struggling to make 40 a year. You can’t ask for solid salesman and not pay them, the concern should be that customers are seeing a drastic change in reps due to removing training and having online training which declines in store knowledge. Reps are noticing large pay decreases which leads to low morale but upper leadership keeps asking for more from an under paid front line. I know it’s small to AT&T but the front line is your business if you don’t have solid reps to keep customers and close deals you’ll be going down the same path sprint and tmobile did when they cut commissions and pay and lost business.
    STOP CUTTING COMMISSION
2% on accessories sales ? Seriously

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Used to be a great place to work

    Cons

Ever since DTV was purchased that’s all they care about. They promote people for getting good numbers with fraudulent DTV and ESPECIALLY DTVNOW transactions like management was telling them to do. Then, the employees who work ethically get ridiculous write ups.

    Advice to Management

Speak up to the area managers when they are being unreasonable.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only upside to working for AT&T has to be the check every pay period.

    Cons

Unorganized scheduling. Rude managers who aren’t only rude to you but to the customers as well.. no time punctuality (my “manager” was late every single day by Atleast an hour.. causing me to close the store everyday for my lunch) no training on hand, (even if you have no experience in the feels they expect you to know everything)

    Advice to Management

Get a new manager because the one you have sucks. Maybe managers who take job seriously and want others to succeed. Rather than managers who are hypocritical and can’t even do their own job to its fullest extent.
And the higher ups.. definitely trash bags. Sat down for a second and they sent a mass message to the staff an image of me sitting. ( I have health issues, so I need to sit every now and again) with rude things like “can we get that person to Atleast finish their classes” (which had been done a month prior) so not only was that unnecessary but embarrassing. Seems the only people who get higher up here are the ones who don’t know how to act.

I have been working at AT&T part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    no cap on commission
    2 weeks paid vacation
    Health care benefits
    Good work environment with employees

    Cons

Managers tell you what you want to hear
I’m part time (they’ve been telling me I’ll be full time for 4 months now) and am strictly set to work 32 hours but am forced to work 5 days a week (worked 40 hours one week and got talked to like I was in trouble in high school)
The commission sucks only make money if you sell tv and internet and even if you bring it up and build a quote if you don’t sell it your not doing your job right. If your the newbie you get handed all the night shifts (I’ve been here 9 months and still have to work those shifts) my concerns are not listened to.

    Advice to Management

Stick to your word, listen to your employees.
