I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunities to continue education and learn more about the company, use of company provided mobile device in retail, excellent health benefits, vacation time, flexible schedule, most workers are supported by union, fair pay increases, above average base pay for retail.

    Cons

Strict attendance policy, no room to become ill without risk of accruing points which can lead to termination, promotions are more about “who you know” and not “what you know” or based on education/outside work experience so you will see people with less education or experience get promoted over you all of the time. Change is good, but their commission structure tends to change quite often resulting in retail consultants taking home less earnings. Stores with fewer customers, tend to have reps who earn far less than busier stores on their current commission structure. Commission is also taxed at around 35%.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to your retail consultants in regards to what we feel are fair monthly goals and fair commission earnings. Your employees want to be there and are loyal to you. We need you to show us how valued we are at AT&T in your retail stores along with fair opportunities for career advancement.

I have been working at AT&T part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay. Versatile work environment. Opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Management is undertrained which then turns in the reps being frustrated from poor management.

    Advice to Management

Train more management to be versed in all things before releasing them in the store. Please stop hiring managers that cannot perform under pressure. These types of managers make it hard for reps to not burn out quickly.
