    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

"Ok" benefits. Overall good staff. Community outreach programs make you feel impactful.

    Cons

I worked for the company for 5 years so of course I have seen the good the bad and the ugly. It is very easy to get comfortable at a company like AT&T because the 3x a year raises make you stay. However, be careful. If you are in sales, your chances of making money dwindles every month. They change the quota to something unattainable if they feel you are making too much money. The benefits are not that great....AT ALL. Upper management, depending on who you have, can be conniving and sneaky. It all about politics, it doesn't matter how good you sale, it matters if you can manipulate the system and customers to benefit you needs. I have lost my integrity with this company. I have seen people do some of the worse things a sales person can do just to make their way to the top. Their actions were overlooked and swept under the rug just because they could meet their goals. People lie, steal, and cheat from the company, their coworkers, and the customers. Moral of the story......be careful and don't be too optimistic. Most people treat AT&T like a "temporary" job, I would recommend doing so if you are desperate to apply.

    Advice to Management

Stop the politics and bring integrity back to the company's name.

I have been working at AT&T part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hourly pay is fair for work needing to be done.

    Cons

High pressure sales. If you are not hitting your sales goals you will be under a lot of pressure that is not worth the money.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    pay was good,,,most co-workers great,,,ability to trade o-days

    Cons

managers under significant pressure to increase sales which comes from above & leads them to some strange behaviors e.g. placing their mouth within eight inches of my ear & recommending "say it like this" which militates against good communication with the customer. extremely strict about breaks being 15 minutes AND NO MOre,,,same with lunch which can be 30 or 60 or rarely but possibly 45 minutes. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s
Birthday Holiday (Observed) not a holiday at this corporation which seems really ODD, considering.

    Advice to Management

make Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday Holiday (Observed) a day off. really.
