I have been working at AT&T for more than 2 years

    Pros

You work on your own. As long as you do good work, quality, and meet up your numbers (2 installs 2 repairs) you should be ok.

    Cons

Politics, problems with orders. Scope of work feels unreachable at times. Contract negotiations that the union leave behind that affect our work and our wage pay. Going on strike. Customers being rude. Suspensions.

    Advice to Management

    Lead by good examples.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 20 years

      Pros

AT&T is a great place to work if you are up for lots of change. Great benefits and Vacation time once you’ve hit 7 years.

      Cons

The challenge in some departments is getting to 7 years.

      Advice to Management

Reduce churn in mid management to support lower levels more consistently.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 20 years

      Pros

Great Pay and Benefits , Stable Company not going anywhere anytime soon.

      Cons

Does not take time to understand employees, only seems to care about 1-4 quarter numbers and bottom line. Typical old school corporation environment. No room for creativity or self expression, just do what your told please.

      Advice to Management

      Learn to appreciate your employees.

      I have been working at AT&T full-time

      Pros

Pay and employee discounts are good

      Cons

Management is terrible. Constant re-orgs and politics lead to confusion on responsibilities and priorities. Frequent layoffs lead to very poor morale.

      Advice to Management

Foster a better community and stop with all the layoffs. Employees don't feel like job security is tied to performance so there is little incentive to be invested in the company.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Very generous benefits all round, from health, wealth and services.

      Cons

Hardcore sales culture makes you a champion one day, but doom and gloom the next if you under-perform. I honestly was made to feel like I was going to be fired the day after being top salesman on my team for "not contributing to team sales". Over and over again. Also if you are an external hire, prepare for close to no training on their critical POS system "OPUS". I was told to "learn by trial and error", which makes...

      Advice to Management

You are a utility. The customers treat you like you are a utility...STOP thinking that you are an "Entertainment" company...you aren't. Improve customer service, and quit charging people different amounts for no apparent reason. Customers are smarter than that.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 9 years

      Pros

Not going anywhere, until the upcoming anti-trust hearings to break up the monopoly over media and its distribution channels; I’m guessing in 2022.

      Cons

Standard, unimaginative US Mega-conglomerate. Att is what happens when a utility company pretends to be a Silicon Valley tech company. This cumbersome, antiquated giant buys up small agile companies with millions of financed dollars, all so they can own mediocre ideas it absorbs into their average-ness. The leaders are chasing what’s “hot” in the market instead of leading with innovation, even though internally they...

I have been working at AT&T

      Pros

      there are no pros anymore

      Cons

No concern for the employee, management get no credit and are continually marginalized and abused.

      Advice to Management

Stop focusing on making only on the highest executives and put some care to the management professionals that have dedicate themselves for years to the company. They’re all leaving for a reason, no gratitude or respect.

      Pros

      Cons

How the company treats us, how easy it is to be suspended

      Advice to Management

Unfortunately there’s no advice I can give to management because they answer to their supervisors, and most of them answers to someone who is ruthless
