I have been working at AT&T part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hands on with latest tech. 50% off AT&T services. Competitive pay, career advancements possible. Coworkers are great. Team building but we are very competitive with each other.

    Cons

Retail means work on weekends. Work life balance not the worst or the best. Sales goal have gone up significantly in the last 4 years. More than 20 metrics to worry about with less paid out commission.

    Advice to Management

Pay fairly when it comes to commission.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Competitive pay, benefits, 401k, training

    Cons

Work life balance, more work overtime, sales metrics and goal attainment stress every month. Ever changing focus on metrics, must be ready to learn fast and start selling to the new metrics management wants for that month.

    Advice to Management

Do more to keep better employees from leaving. Be more mindful who gets promoted. Top sales performers skirt the rules and step on people to get where they get, so they will do the same to subordinates and clients once they become managers. Bottom line only the numbers matter and being good friends with top management. employees who do a lot of service to keep customers happy don't get enough recognition.

    Pros

young motivated people, hourly is more than most places, awesome benefits, great 2 week paid training (they prepare you to hit the gates as soon as trainings over), and flexible work times (morning, mid and evening)

    Cons

upper management (above the general manager of the store) politics,. not everyone is a honest, cool co worker. some of them steal and do shady business. your sales are directly affected by the location you are in (i.e if your in a heavily populated metropolitan area, you will have a busy store with high numbers and great sales etc. and vice versa).

    Advice to Management

dont treat us like children. most of us are grown men trying to raise families
