"Big business and that is exactly how they look at it-as a business. Very political and no feel of family."

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pay. Simply said I stayed for the pay and the discounts on tv, internet and mobile phone. Not much else to say.

    Cons

I did not appreciate their sense of "know it all" from upper management and executives. They make a lot of decision based on what they think and do not actually listen to the people that are face to face with our customers. They are so confident in their decision making that they will often implement new systems or software without first doing a BETA test which creates a lot of chaos for all. This in turn wastes a lot of time, energy, resources and MONEY which is seems so backwards for a company who is only interested in the bottom line and can so easily layoff many of its employees due to "budget restraints". There is so much waste in this company as far as money goes. They only do the layoffs so that they can show their stockholders that they are still profiting instead of taking the time to listen to its employees and do things the right way.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, not just a bs enps survey, but really listen and do what will be better for both the company and its employees, not just stockholders. AND do a BETA test before launching ANYTHING. It will save you time, money and resources in the long run.
