I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company is heading in a great direction. Good benefits. Check out the Employee Resource Groups. Great discounts on directv and cell phones. Great people to work with. Lots of online training and tuition opportunities.

    Cons

Specific job cons- If you are looking for a cookie cutter job with no challenge, this one is for you.

    Company cons
A lot to rotate out of your role than advertised

    Advice to Management

Build training programs to allow employees to rotate from one rotation to another.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's probably an OK place to start, but I don't recommend staying here too long. Dental benefits seem to be above average (if you are willing to pay extra for that). Other benefits are slightly below par.

    Cons

Raises are terrible.range 2-3% over a period of years. Morale is terrible. They used to have a defined benefit pension plan, but they did away with that. I think the only reason a lot of the old timers stay is because they got in on that before it was done away with.

    Advice to Management

Hire Americans. Better 401K matching. Pay market wages instead of H1B wages. This company tends to hire the cheapest possible labor it can find, and in a lot of cases, it shows. The amount of corporate email spam is very high. We should have a charge code just for going through it.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great pay and flexibility if you can get to the individual contributor management positions.

    Cons

industry is downsizing right now as telecommunications companies move to cloud environments and new Software Defined Networks.

    Advice to Management

as industry downsizes, be ready to take on increased geographical workload.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A good company to work at if you need a work/life balance. 401k is great.

    Cons

Turbulent times with layoffs. I would not work here until after 2020.

    Advice to Management

Sr. Leadership needs to groom/mentor their supervising managers.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Surrounded by smart, capable people. The company promotes diversity and good ethics, provides significant opportunity for training.

    Cons

Very bureaucratic, very siloed and micro-siloed. For a company this large this may be necessary, but I struggle to feel how I am contributing on occasion. The company seems to be in a never-ending reorganization phase, but there is alot to shift. Workloads are heavy, opportunities for training is challenging. Don't much care for the training to be a replacement worker in event of a strike.

    Advice to Management

Organizational changes are necessary in business, but every time management opens their mouth about it, morale drops and causes anxiety. Find a better way to communicate plans and changes, what they are doing currently is not working.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is great, and there are LOTS of opportunities for furthering your education. I am constantly taking online classes, all paid for by at&t. Additionally work life balance is fantastic in this program. You can work from home a few days a week depending on your boss, and you can only work from 8am to 5pm (any more work and you get paid overtime).

The program also has meet ups with other people in the area that are in your program. Its nice to build the social and professional network that comes along with this.

I would definitely recommend this rotational program.

    Cons

Probably to only con is that the company is really big and you can get lost in it.
