I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

AT&T holds an Employee Resource Group conference every year in Dallas in support of Diversity & Inclusion. This is an amazing opportunity to meet with senior level executives in the company and network with other employees from diverse backgrounds! I am very proud to work for such a company that encourages and promotes diversity!

    Cons

AT&T is a very large company and if you are not familiar with how to navigate this structure it can be challenging.

    Advice to Management

Continue to promote diversity & inclusion and spread the news of the good work that is being done at AT&T!

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

great company to work, great pay, very dynamic environment, continuing education

    Cons

Low moral due to continuing layoffs, too much job uncertainty, management has little say in who gets layed off.

    Advice to Management

Create an environment where people feel safe in their jobs. Going to work everyday knowing it may be your last is no way to live. People would be much more productive if they felt secure and could focus on their jobs.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They pay you more than market value..

    Cons

I have my Master in Engineering and work experience as Core Network Engineer. When they hired me they mentioned that I will work in resolving complex network issues and work for Operations. Operations here meaning NOT Network Operations it means call center.I insisted several times if it was Networks ..they told yes... They hide it until end that it was call center and after i joined it doesn't need my competence...it does no good with regards to career development.Job description posted and what you actually do dont match .....Now I am kind of struck until I find a new job in technology field!
No work life balance...2 people has to be in our team with ON-Call responsibilities....it looks like we are always struck...no life here!

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have competent Hiring Managers not cheaters or people who cheat to get them in and destroy peoples careers....it take years to develop competency in technology area....
