I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great pay, decent benefits. Somewhat fair scheduling.

    Cons

Not too many if you understand that every corporation has rules and policies. Doesn’t seem to bother me much.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay if you have the work ethic necessary
    Great benefits med/dental retirement

    Cons

Never a consistent schedule don’t know how long you will be working day to day.
    Managers are average .
No one wants to take responsibility for anything and it’s always someone else’s fault.
Technicians have no trust or faith in their management.
Managers will clock out and not answer their phone when they still have technicians still out in the field working after dark in un safe conditions on a ladder in a remote location.
If I wanted to jeopardize my safety on an almost daily basis I would have stayed in the military.
It’s only tv. In Arizona people think tv is an emergency. It’s unreal.

    Advice to Management

Promote actual leaders not people who are two faced liars that no one trusts. If I had actually had a manager I would probably still be working for At&t.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on numbers and making yourselves look good. Let your employees do their job and leave them alone! And just a thought......treat your employees like human beings!

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

AT&T hires the best so you work with the best! They provide all training. You get 4 raises a year for 5 years until you are at top pay. After that you still get 2 raises a year because you are union, so really there is not a limit to top pay.

    Cons

When I was there The 2nd level and I did not get along but 99% of that was on my end. Other than that you will be surrounded by knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Might want to slow down on the micro-management. AT&T is real top heavy and what needs to be understood is that without the technicians there is no top!!

I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits. Even though the position is temporary, there are still many opportunities to get open positions internally. Good chance of becoming permanent.

    Cons

None that i can think of. Theres alot of jobs out there in low voltage that dont pay near as much.
