I worked at AT&T (Less than a year)

    Pros

No matter what position you work in you will gain valuable work experience. The company had a fantastic training program.

    Cons

It’s not for some. It’s very metrics driven. Opportunity for advancement within HR is difficult unless you live in one of the major corporate locations (Atlanta & Dallas).

    Advice to Management

Management is great. Some leaders managed better than others; overall they are great.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been employed with AT&T for a lengthy period of time. Their dedication to their employees' education on the job, attractive benefit package, Employee Discounts on AT&T products and services, and tuition assistance to continue your education toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree are all top notch. I have had the opportunity to work in almost all areas of the company. This has given me a depth and breadth of experience and has allowed me to grow and development in my career. It has also given me confidence in my abilities, skills and knowledge. It's a great place to work!

    Cons

It's a large company. But they do a good job of communicating with their employees to keep them informed and welcome feedback.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working for AT&T is a blessing due to the people that I work with. They are not just co-workers but also my family. I love working for a company that cares about their communities and supports military hiring. The company has several training options to help you grow within your position or move on to others. It has good leadership and I am excited to see where this company will be in 2020.

    Cons

The environment is ever changing and very fast paced. If you can't multi task this probably isn't the company for you.
Sometimes because the company is so big you feel like a number rather than an important part of the company.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees work life balance, it is important to keep employees happy. Continue to allow some flexibility to allow employees to telecommute for jobs.

    Pros

Variety of responsibilities and offers lots of opportunity to build teamwork, written, computer, organization and presentation skills.
Great access to project management tools and training.

    Cons

Workload can be heavy so need to be able to prioritize activities, be flexible and change direction based on current needs of the business.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide variety of opportunities outside the larger hub locations.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time

    Pros

I feel blessed to work for such a great company - top leadership educates us about the direction of the company - where our footprint is and most importantly how we make a difference in the lives of our customers. We are innovative - we have been - we are - and we will always be cutting edge with new ideas and innovations. I love being apart of that - the stories are endless to define our success! Come join our awesome team at AT&T!

    Cons

So the process states you must list 5 words for this category - and those are my words since I don't have any cons to share......

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in Leading with Distinction - this is a great platform for us all to hear the message from each direct report to Randall. So powerful!

    Pros

Awesome company and culture and perks.

    Cons

There is a ceiling you will hit professionally unless you are in the corporate office or know of someone who is. Seniority will win over talent every time.

I worked at AT&T as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Team with excellent managers. Top notch ATS system. I enjoyed my time with AT& T and hope to come back.

    Cons

The only one I can think of is the meetings about meetings and conference calls but you should expect that from a large corporation.

    Advice to Management

    I do not have any.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a huge corporation where you will have the opportunity to work in many different parts of the business. It is not the type of company where you are forced into a silo unless you choose that for your own career. Very flexible work schedule and opportunity to telecommute. Great salary and benefits.

    Cons

Lots of politics. Limited opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Work on the consistency of policies across the board. Company seems very fragmented at times.
