I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great work atmosphere, Excellent Benefits, paid time off, employee discounts, great team environment. That is only to name a few.

    Cons

I never really have any cons. There is really nothing that comes to mind for cons. I wish I could have started with AT&T many years ago.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

There are a lot of smart people trying hard to change the culture. The company is trying to go through a culture shift to become more agile and competitive. Remote work is very accepted, especially in remote offices. There are quite a few online education opportunities, through both AT&T University and some through Udacity. Good perks on DIRECTV and AT&T Wireless plans.

    Cons

It's a big company, which makes it hard for a team or an individual to truly stand out or instill change. There is a plethora of old process, which leave room for improvement, but often times processes are hard to change. In some cases, fighting process can consume your day and make it hard to be productive.

    Advice to Management

Let the smart people do the things they want to do, don't crush them with processes that stifle innovation. Management has the right idea with the culture shift they want to see, but change is hard in a company this large. Keep getting rid of old processes and breaking down barriers.

I worked at AT&T for more than 2 years

      Pros

Excellent pay, responsible work load, very knowledgeable team of software experts to work with.

      Cons

As a contractor, it took about two months to on board. Patience is required, and it is worth it.

      Advice to Management

I believe the Business Software Solutions sector is stretched then. Corporate has restrictions on hiring, which impede the ability of this department to deliver requirements on time.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Great place to work, the only complaint I would have is the lack of advancement opportunities. The business is ever changing and you will never be bored. The pay is great for what you do but selling phones can start to be lack luster after a while.

      Cons

No job fulfillment. Unless you want to be someone's makeshift secretary for the rest of your life. No stock option incentives. Again, this is just my organization and business segment, so I can only speak on that perspective. Others that work in other departments rave about how good the company is to them

      Advice to Management

Operations Management needs a complete overall. Employee turn around rate was through the roof. All this department cares about is sales, sales, sales regardless if it impacts the employees personal home life, mental well being and the like. Ma Bell is no longer present. It's sad. really it is...

      I worked at AT&T

      Pros

Some managers and coworkers are very nice.

      Cons

No work life balance. They think they own you. Contractors are treated like second class citizens.

      Advice to Management

Treat others like you would like others to treat you.
