I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Hours are flexible and co-workers are knowledgeable.

    Cons

No more reasons to work at AT&T since it's not Direct/tv anymore. The wrong people get converted or promoted. The actual people that do the hard work and put the time don't get converted or promoted. Management is not real management, a bunch of people that never got proper management training. Lots of politics more than other places, lots of favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the people that have been there for a while, use their knowledge since they have paid their dues and know what is actually going on. They are the ones that need to be converted or promoted.

I have been working at AT&T for more than 8 years

    Pros

Easy testing procedures, non-stressful environment. Work can sometimes be slow at times since it all depends on the software engineers to resolve issues found by the test engineers.

    Cons

Lack of proper communication between teams. Sometimes teams create conflict that can either result in bad software builds being released out into the public.

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people to work with, and some good challenges along the way.

    Cons

Since AT&T purchased Directv, it's only been going downhill since then. Management in some areas of the company has no clues what is going on the floors, and a lot of times does not pay attention to the people that are working hard, that actually care about their jobs.

    Advice to Management

My advice for management is to really look and see who are the hard workers, and to actually make them permanent, instead of keeping them for long contracts, and then bringing them back again. Eventually the people you invested money on for training, will leave the company and seek employment somewhere else. Also for management to stop recognizing people that don't deserve it, and actually give it to the people that do...

I have been working at AT&T for more than a year

    Pros

Only Directv is currently not sponsoring H1-B. So even if H1-B employees want to join as a full time they cannot.

    Cons

Working with End to end team, I enjoyed every day working in this team and the testing here is quite challenging.
