    I worked at AT&T

    Pros

Was with the company for 4 years. I love working for at&t company wise. They do take care of their employees with good pay, benefits and a union.

    Cons

The only negative (which is actually why I left the company) is the lack of professionalism when it comes to management. At least in my district, there was a lot of favoritism, gossip from upper management (even district manager), and just drama. Yes you have drama everywhere you go. But when it is coming from management and you feel like they are not there to support you, it becomes a hostile work environment.

    Advice to Management

Do not make someone a manager just because they are you "friend" or because they can sell well. There were plenty of managers that became managers for being good sellers...but lacked leadership and communication skills. TREAT EMPLOYEES EQUALLY.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Can be a great team if the right people are working there.

    Cons

AT&T is trying to move from a wireless company to an entertainment company. This causes them to ask their sales reps to sell way more then they should for not near the commission that should be paid. The management doesn't care about the employees unless they are the ones selling the most of whatever the hot item is. The medical benefits are a joke, you end up paying more out of pocket each year and saving almost nothing.

    Advice to Management

At least meet the going rate of pay in hourly and commission for your reps, more because you ask them to sell so much.
