    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They have decent salary and benefits with a bonus system based on company productivity. A lot of autonomy depending on group you are in.

    Cons

Very little stability due to constant change and reorg depending on what merger is coming. Leadership lack communication and vision - I think most of this comes from trying to jump through the latest hoops and VP reorg.

    Advice to Management

Create some stability for people and encourage commitment by either slowing down the reorgs or placing people during reports into another solid role.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Really good people to work with. Good benefits such as direct tv and phone discounts.

    Cons

Frequent all the time regorgs. Seriously one was just barely finished before the next one was in the works. SOO frustrating.

Layoffs killed the love. So many layoffs with little notice. Make everyone feel unloved, undervalued and on edge. If you live in Washington apply elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

No idea who really is in charge there.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive benefits and pay, equality focused, they provide many opportunities for additional training and schooling as a paid perk. High tech focused.

    Cons

Many times senior management will make decisions that have adverse effects on downstream work force that appear illogical and arbitrary.

    Advice to Management

    Trust second level managers more.

I have been working at AT&T as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will become a do it all person as Att does not replace people who quit! Yup that just more work for you now on top of your existing job!

    Cons

Very poor upper managment, I have been under a 6 month rollercoaster of job changes within att not at my drcresion or choice. I have had 5 different mangers in 6 months, my pay cut, my expenses scrutinized, and have been put into jobs I litetally have no experience doing. ATT has done this to the entire PNW wireless team. Very poor work life balance and very negative people who want everything for free. I applied for a raise to reflect my new jobs and was tossed around by ECAM (att finacial company) for 3 months just to get told no. Mot even a cent. This company is crooked and is cutting corners on employees and contractors to achieve thier new motto; "Doing more things with less". I have worked for all of the carriers and hsve done so for over 10 years accross multiple markets, and I cant believe my own eyes. I would not recomend working for this PNW team ever! Plenty of other options out there especially in tge seattle market. Screw you ATT and thanks for cutting my pay by 2/3 and not having any of your empoyees or contractors best interest at state.

    Advice to Management

Stop changing management every two weeks and giving people others jobs when you loose staff and choose not to replace them.
