I worked at AT&T as a contractor (More than 3 years)
Was free to try new things to improve department. Coworkers were skilled and gracious.
As a contractor was constantly worried about loosing my job. Company was regularly on the edge of going on strike. Department was reorganized 4 times already in 2017. Company is a Telecom company trying to masquerade as a tech company.
Advice to Management
If you really want to be a tech company then you need to better foster an environment that would bring in high quality talent and retain them.

Great pay, great benefits, amazing immediate manager.
more focus on Customer survey metrics vs. actual customer satisfaction, very stressful
