    I worked at ATCO I-Tek full-time

    Pros

Easy to be "above average" compared to peers

    Cons

You're not going to get very far without being on the right projects and knowing the right people

    Advice to Management

Cut the fat at the top.

I worked at ATCO I-Tek full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very nice people. People are willing to share and give.Balanced work and family life. Can work from home depends on the team and position you are in. Above average benefits. Lots of charity activities.

    Cons

As a member of ATCO group, it takes a lot of efforts to align business needs from all members. Things may have been changes since it's acquired

I worked at ATCO I-Tek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Being in a union gave great benefits. The pay seems to be above the average for call centre. Supervisors do not care about metrics as much as they should

    Cons

Of course, being a in a union has disadvantages like:

some workers are dead weight. Senior workers just seem to be waiting for pension. Big bureaucracy means slow change. IN scope (in union) there is no room for advancement

    Advice to Management

Not really much can be done about advice since it is regulated but try to do more coaching to make feedback stick

I have been working at ATCO I-Tek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Family oriented company, benefits are great. Most staff are good to work with.

    Cons

Everything is done at the last minute, mainly due to lack of staff and changing priorities. Compensation is on the lower end. No bonuses and pay raises (if any) are low.

    Advice to Management

Set a vision, share it with every one, and ensure the resources are allocated to get it done right.

I have been working at ATCO I-Tek full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Have very good clients.
Peers are good to work with.
Work life balance is not too bad.
    Realistic work expectations.

    Cons

Employees are treated like resources, just like a computer or printer, etc.
    Very little training provided.
Too top heavy, way too many management personnel for the number of worker bees.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees the way that you would like to be treated.

I worked at ATCO I-Tek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good salary package, nothing else.

    Cons

High peak of favouritism. Don't have a lot of work, micro management. People working for hot projects are favourite but don't care about other teams or team players. Everybody working are scared of management.

    Advice to Management

Only higher people when you really need them. Don't higher more than required people.

I worked at ATCO I-Tek part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company benefits were very good and the pay was above average for most customer service centres.

    Cons

There is very little advancement to no advancement at all. An employee would have to be "buddy buddy" with management to get anywhere in the company. I wouldn't advise anyone to work for this company

    Advice to Management

Start caring more about the employees and not about the contract with the client. Treat every employee equally.
