    Pros

If you are a people person, this is a job you may like. Fast paced environment. The route drivers at the Dayton office are a great group of people!

    Cons

On call 24/7, spend more time floating into different positions than you spend in your position, need to have extreme flexibility on your schedule, calls from customers need immediate responses per upper management, pay is not enough for the amount of work expected of you, and a high stress environment. Expect high turnover.

I worked at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of overtime to be had, steady work, you get your exercise. You get to be both inside and outdoors in a variety of locations.

    Cons

Outside of overtime, pay was low. Working outside in the dead of winter is not fun. Route managers can sometimes be difficult to please.

I worked at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Honestly only pros are free food in the markets that's unfortunately really unhealthy for you and okay pay plus you're out if work by 4PM at the latest

    Cons

Geez I can go on for a very long time about the cons of working here. Management above you will not care about anything that doesn't directly affect them, then blame you when it does, zero accountability, CSA's will call in all of the time leaving you to cover multiple accounts, no resources to help you, CSA turnover is worse than a fast food joint, communication is the worst I've ever seen, really I could keep going but I won't because it just becomes redundant. Bottom line, unless you're desperate do not work here regardless of what they promise you.

    Advice to Management

Really things are so messed up that the best advice is to fire and rebuild because everyone is already ingratiated in the terrible culture there.

I worked at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time

    Pros

    Sometimes works with your schedule.

    Cons

No real leadership skills from management. They like to put a lot of work load on certain people with out giving the title or the pay.

    Advice to Management

To pay attention to the employees more and make unexpected visits.

    Pros

Moved up to management quickly. Decent pay. Promoted from within. Good employees for the most part. Free food. Free beverages.

    Cons

Work load is ridiculous. Most accounts understaffed. Most accounts have outdated equipment because it's cheap. Most kitchens way too small and ill equipped to handle the volume. I've had to run an account alone several times. Have to get a hair test to make sandwiches. SERIOUSLY?

    Advice to Management

Support your staff more. Hire more people. Pay more.

I worked at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked in the corporate office and it was wonderful being hourly there. I had a great department and they were very selective on who worked there. I enjoyed my time there. And we had 9 paid holidays which was great as well.

    Cons

Salary was very meager, and the vacation time was dated. 1 week after 1 year of service. They did give sick days as well. It was also tough to take unpaid time off depending on your department.

    Advice to Management

Work on creating better benefits for the employees,

    Pros

Days go by fast. Get to drive around and fill machines all day. Meet people all day. Great health insurance

    Cons

Days are not just 8 hours. People can call in for the most petty complaint and you have to drive across town to make them happy.

    Advice to Management

Be more honest when hiring new people about benefits and houra
