    Pros

    Free food and company car

    Cons

they do not care about integrity, honesty, or doing what is right. AP only cares about himself and his cash. This is a cash business and they do not share actual financial numbers so they can hide money from the government. Look up the ownership they are in top 10 richest Greeks in the US. Use mafia type of management style with intimidation and lack of caring about employees. Watch out if you join here. They will promise you the world, just beware

    Advice to Management

show your team you care and value them. They are why you are rich. Follow your top 10 values don't just talk the talk but walk the walk.

I worked at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free food and drinks with most weekends off. Good Co workers. Major holidays off with pay. 401k is available to employees

    Cons

Awful hours, large work load for small pay. Management stinks, won't listen to employees suggestions. Most of the employees call it hell on earth afraid to say anything for fear of being fired. If u complain u have to worry about being fired. Not sufficiently trained for the position.

    Advice to Management

Fire the crappy management and hire new ones.

    Pros

Easy work, great customers, enjoyable projects. Customers are appreciative of all that is done for them.

    Cons

Horrible structure. Very slow moving. Too many meetings without results. Unpredictable schedule resulting in frustrated employees.

    Advice to Management

Do not make promises you do not intend on keeping whether it's with the customers or employees. It's very important for everyone to have a plan.

    Pros

Free food, tons of overtime because almost always short handed. 2% raise yearly so if you keep your head down and don't care about anyone but yourself then you'll do fine here

    Cons

I moved up very quickly because my chef left and I was thrust into the role of sous chef without training or support. I held out for a new chef and when he came on board he was extremely disrespectful and degrading to all the current staff and has become friends with the director. Both lie to new employees and are just looking to have people put food on plates with no accountability for foods safety.
Being shut down for 17 weeks out of the year really sucks too.

    Advice to Management

Hire better directors and then check on your accounts more then just 2 times a year. Corners are cut and people are very lazy when management doesn't come around at all

    Pros

Above minimum wage pay, you get to eat some of the food.

    Cons

You may work hours and not have any food keft over to eat, management is lazy sometimes, and plays favorites with workers.

    Advice to Management

Treat all employers like they matter. Focus on helping employees out and try not to be lazy.

    Pros

All the hours you can handle, and then 20 more! Friendly co-workers that you can stage a revolt with! Working harder than you've ever worked in your entire life! If you have an unhappy home life..HOORAY!! You won't be seeing them much anymore! And my favorite, having so much work that you'll never get it done and they hand you 3 hours more of work!

    Cons

Managers that blame their incompetence on the employees, managers that haven't any power to truly manage(only to scream and embarrass employees like children) because upper management is power hungry, Food that is so substandard to work with that your given meat that is more like dog food and expected to make a delicious stew, expected to thoroughly clean the entire kitchen before going home at night after working a lunch and dinner shift by yourself and stock, Coming in the morning to find the chef from the night before didn't clean and your stuck cleaning before you cook-the managers do nothing because they're a favorite

    Advice to Management

Don't work here. If you do..be fair. Work harder .

    Pros

It pays the bills. Overview some really nice folks that work firvcmnkkku

    Cons

They have these "core" values and sell you on it when they hire you. Well biggest BS I have ever heard!

They give a turkey to all employees during thanksgiving. Well the ownership say it's from them when in fact in about 50 percent of their business their clients pay for them!

    Advice to Management

At least try to get to know your team members.

    Pros

I have nothing good to say about this company at all. Apply elsewhere. Only pro to working here is it is steady dayshift and weekends off. Other than that nothing.

    Cons

Everything. No training. Tons of paperwork. They will fire you over the telephone. Management is terrible. A lot of talking behind employees back. Unsafe vehicles. Expect you to know how to do your job in 1 week of you don't they will let you go.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat employees and train them properly.

I worked at AVI Foodsystems Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None. They lie and tell you you will have a work life balance, and good benefits but when you use your benefits it's an issue. They tell you they pay you for 17 holidays, however when you use them your director has an issue with it.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations and zero support from the management team. If you're a director or an executive chef you'll have the luxury of sitting back in your office all day without doing any work. They always say they have meeting or conference calls, but I find it hard to believe I have seen the Executive Chef myself playing solitaire on his computer while his kitchen crashed. He did not help his team. The Food and Nutrition Director sits in her office gossiping with other managers that are her friends. While you are stuck doing it all. I urge everyone to steer away from this company.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your leaders. The middle level managers really do all the work, but never get recognition. The director will always load up all the work on the patient services manager and never assist. If you were to take a trip to your accounts you can see what really goes on. Just take a look at the turn over rate for patient services managers in the central Florida area. There is a reason why.
