Strong team, No Cap Commission, High Demand

Do not work for them

There is none so I won’t be putting any down
Cons
This place is horrible they got me a job only for me to be let go 2 weeks after I landed the job AVID my main pint of contract had no idea about this issue so I was left looking stupid and confused. And to make things better the following week and another AVID recruiter reaches out to me to get me to apply for the same position I was let go for due to budget cuts. I find it both confusing and funny that I was let go form the position because they couldn’t afford to keep me only to find out that they are still hiring for said position. I even reach out and asked the recruiter if I could move to a different department and he said that they’re was none. But yet another recruiter is saying something different. As someone who has bills to pay and family to take care of this is so disheartening

Pros
I have a manager Chris who is AWESOME. He has had a profound impact on my career with his leadership and his patience.
Cons
Getting a raise is tough and is completely determinant on how many placements you make. Even if you work your tail off its the numbers that matter at the end of the day.

Good place to start your recruiting career
Apr 1, 2022 - Technical Recruiter in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- great management - no micromanagement from higher-ups - remote work flexibility - friendly co-workers, great office vibe - decent compensation
Cons
- long hours, can be draining - clients are somewhat tricky to work with - not much upwards mobility - most of the sourcing is for contracts so be prepared to have lots of turnover with your candidates Staffing agency work isn't for everyone so you have to have tough skin to enjoy the work. You MUST be motivated by the idea of making more money to succeed or you won't feel that you're accomplishing a lot in this role.

Great place to work
Jan 3, 2022 - Senior UI Developer in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Weekly Pay -Very receptive management & HR -Interview Prep -Good job matches This Org made me feel safe. That doesn't happen a lot in my field. I would recommend it to a friend or colleague for sure.
Cons
PTO would have been nice but the pay is still quite good and that's just how it is when you're a contractor.

Pros
Quick, efficient and supportive. I was in the job market for quite sometime (thank you COVID) and then I met my recruiter and everything was a whole lot easier. Don't waste your time doing it alone, trust that AVID is in your corner and is rooting for you.
Cons
Only con is that I know people are struggling and might not know about this company, spread the word.

Great Environment, Great People, Great Place to Learn
Jan 2, 2018 - Technical Recruiter in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I've been working at AVID full time and I am so happy that I decided to join this team! The interview process was pretty quick: had a phone screen and then was asked to come in for an interview and was offered the job a week or so later. During the period between being interviewed and after I was given the offer, there was complete transparency and communication between the manager and myself. I really appreciated that since I had another offer on the table and was going through deciding factors. They were nothing but patient and excited for me to join the team - as was I! All in all, it's a great place to get your foot in the door and really grow your skills while being in a friendly and hardworking environment. This isn't your typical staffing company where it's cut throat and everyone steps all over each other. AVID is a genuine company where everyone is helpful and wants each person to succeed - no games.
Cons
I don't really have any cons except that the recruiting industry can be hard itself. If you're a hard worker, have an open mind and a willingness to learn and accept both success and loss - then this is the place for you. If you can't handle that, then this industry is not what you're looking for.
