I worked at AXA Advisors full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I can't think of any

    Cons

Straight commission, the "contracting" process is more subjective than objective...not only do you have to produce a certain amount, but management has to deem you worthy of "contracting" through subjective measures. Cold calling sucks, you basically con people into meeting with you.

    Advice to Management

Be more straightforward in the interview process about what you're running - a pyramid scheme. The senior advisors rely on the junior advisors to toss business their way so they can make money off other people's relationships when it doesn't work both ways. Also don't lead people to believe they'll make more money than they actually will or get paid more than they actually will during the time before "contracting".

    Pros

    Location, beautiful office space

Terrible pay, too many advisors working independently of each other with no cohesive goal, bullying is tolerated and you cannot make long distance phone calls because they don't pay for long distance.

I have been working at AXA Advisors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The flexibility of your schedule

    Cons

Managers lie to recruits and promise rainbows of unlimited income - they will hire ANYBODY which has given this place a horrible reputation. It's getting to the point where you talk to a potential client and they know about AXA because they or someone they knew got scammed by a family or friend into putting all of their money into an expensive AXA annuity and then they left AXA soon after.

The only people who win at this game are the managers who end up inheriting the clients left behind

    Advice to Management

Hire people that will have a chance of making it in the industry. Stop focusing on upping the "body count" and stop lying to people. Managers are judged on how many people they hire which leads to garbage man today and "Financial Consultant" tomorrow

I will be leaving this horrible place within a month to get a real job!

    Pros

You get to be in the trenches with your coworkers that grows a strong bond. Hot chicks work there

    Cons

100% commission. They make you bug your family & friends to do business and hurts relationships along the way. Management is terrible. Only hire individuals from wealthy families so they can infiltrate their pocket books.

    Advice to Management

Don't feed employees false hope. Be honest from interview #1
