    Pros

More freedom compared to banks or other financial institutions. Flexible schedules, opportunity to build your own business/client base. you decide on your clients; who you want to work with and at the end they remain your clients, your relationships, not the institution or other agent

    Cons

As an agent you are responsible for all initial fees: hiring, books, licensing and registration, exams. you are given a short time to pass 3 exams, complete the training phase, and meet the minimum requirements in order to contract. From a support role, each branch operates in their own way; they create their own policies. depending on the branch, you either have support OR little to no support and unclear guidelines.

    Advice to Management

New hires need more support from their managers. guidance and development. / home office: hire more people to each department. few people juggling more than they can handle = outcome is inefficient and sloppy.

I have been working at AXA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

AXA provides a great working environment. Running your own business allows for a very flexible schedule. The potential income is unlimited. AXA allows you to sell other companies insurance products which helps take away the competition.

    Cons

Management does not provide too much direction, you are thrown right out into the fire. There are a lot of fees associated with working at the company. They make you pay for everything.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to focus more on the development of their young employees. All they care about is the money they make off of their team.

I have been working at AXA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Weekly trainings to educate on products, friendly work environment, likable management.

    Cons

No sense of direction in regards to prospecting, no support structure in place for new advisors, compensation packages are highly pumped up compared to what they actually are.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on helping building business and best ways to grow instead of hitting numbers. This method that they use does not enable a growing or learning environment, more of a figure it out as you go.
