I have been working at AXA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Flexible work hours
    Great Managers
    Capable Teammates

    Cons

    -Lots of Layoffs and Attrition
-If you already make 40% of your salary range you are not rewarded with any more money. This has caused may folks to not do more than the bare minimum because there is no incentive.

    I worked at AXA full-time

    Pros

They have a reasonable work life balance. They also care about the advancement and increasing of skills for your career

    Cons

The last decade every year the employees were afraid that downsizing was coming. It did not help company morale.

    Advice to Management

I hope this is the end of cost cutting. Employees will work harder and have better morale if they thought the company wasn't doing as much as possible to cut their salary.

I have been working at AXA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

AXA US works to promote workplace diversity. It's a safe place for all people, and it has a particularly terrific program to help young female professionals specifically. Career development is possible for junior and senior professionals. The vacation package (varies by years of service) is very generous.

    Cons

AXA US has publicly stated its interest in increasing the number of its employees working in Charlotte, North Carolina, so one has to wonder what the headcount in the Greater New York Area will be in future years.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great diversity programs.

    I worked at AXA full-time

    Pros

Great manager, high quality products, good training/development. If you have the right market and put in the work, you can build an excellent career.

    Cons

Compensation: base salary is low, and you only get half commissions if you take the salary option (which is often necessary when you first start). Commissions aren't great either, because products are designed with reasonable fees for clients. My health plan seems to be well below average based on my peers. They also treat you like an independent contractor; you have to buy your own computer, pay monthly for their digital software, pay for E&O insurance, pay for marketing materials, pay for certain investment platforms, pay for study materials/sit for certification exams, etc.

    Advice to Management

Improve the base compensation and cover some of the expenses. There needs to be a lot more transparency about compensation overall; how it works, what expenses are covered or not, many advisors are in the dark about this info.

    Pros

    Friendly environment
Flexibility in work hours, depending on your department
Management is more communicative in recent years than it was in the past

    Cons

Change can be good, but it seems that management is not sure where it is headed. Lots of layoffs every year, just to rehire into those jobs a year or two later. This keeps employees on-edge.

    I worked at AXA full-time

    Pros

    Great people, with chaotic leadership

    Cons

A transition point...if you're in Charlotte and have a lot of energy this is the company for you ...but if not tough sledding..

    Advice to Management

    Listen.
