I have been working at AXA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Energy, rewarding, hard work but you have the tools to be successful. Its not for everyone, it takes motivation, drive and the hunger to one day be your own boss and afford those things you may not be able to in a 9 to 5 job.

    Cons

It is hard work, long hours starting out, you sometimes have to work a Saturday and there is always something new to learn because the financial industry changes.

I have been working at AXA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good people, mentoring and coaching readily available. Company allows me to pursue significance rather than just focusing on the numbers. It is a place where things are done in teams and people have one another's backs.

    Cons

At this point I don't have any negatives to share. My experience because of the relatively quick promotion in the company has drowned out any possible negatives.

I worked at AXA as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Made great connections with upper management and fellow interns. Also I was given important responsibilities integrating Salesforce into multiple business departments.

    Cons

There could have been more hands on training, but overall I was given a lot of independence in my work.

    Advice to Management

Keep promoting entrepreneurial people who are looking to bring diversity and creativity into the company.

I have been working at AXA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great vacation and sick days 5-6 weeks paid vacation + unlimited sick days). Good 401k company match and also good health insurance and other benefits.

    Cons

Limited upward mobility and also a limited budget, along with some outdated tools and systems. Some employees are not high caliber workers and there are no consequences for poor job performance.

    Advice to Management

Cull the dead weight and invest in the employees with high potential

I have been working at AXA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Advancement opportunities, excellent training, high income potential, leadership development, robust platform to serve client needs, genuine impact can be made on the lives of clients, great work environment

    Cons

This is definitely a career and not simply a job. For those that don't approach with correct mindset or are not right for the job, it can be a very frustrating experience. For those that persevere and avail themselves to the resources and training available, however, it can be life changing!

I worked at AXA as an intern

    Pros

It was a great experience to gauge interest in financial advising. While I was there they moved offices and the new office is phenomenal!

    Cons

Everyone is very busy and the work you can do is limited if you are not licensed. It seemed like AXA was very aggressive in taking percentages made by hard working advisors.

    Advice to Management

Pay higher starting salary, work hours are very long for employees. Employees who are sponsored for their FINRA licenses need more compensation to live in NYC during their study period. Do not take a full time position if you cannot support yourself fully for an entire year in NYC.
