    Pros

    Good Benefits/ PTO
    Unlimited bonus opportunity

    Cons

    Low pay
Management has their heads up their rears

    Advice to Management

Get your heads out of your rears. If your going to raise the standard hiring wage, raise all of your employees accordingly.

    I worked at Aaron's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Big promisses. Benefits if you can make it.

    Cons

Predatory leasing and illegal calls throughout the day to collect money. Have to go to people's homes(dangerous) to collect money. Charge people 5-10 times what an item is worth. Not a business for anyone with integrity. Expect you to work way too many hours in the week. No family time at all.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason your stores are shutting down. You take advantage of people and try to convince them you are helping. Hopefully people stop coming all together. There are much better alternatives to "leasing" home goods.

I have been working at Aaron's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady Hours, paid vacations, at least 6 paid holidays per year, 401k, and health insurance. Also opportunities for bonuses, and commission.

    Cons

Long hours...You honestly feel as if you live there. Work every Saturday unless you ask for that day off in a few weeks advance. If you want commission, you have to sign up at MINIMUM 60 new customers each month. It's the same across the board whether you work in a consistently busy store or one that always has low foot traffic. My particular position is three jobs in one...and my store has been short handed for almost a year...I'm just expected to do the work of three people. Aaron's pays the marketing team way more than me, but I am still expected to use my personal vehicle to drive around town (on the clock but they aren't paying for mileage) and take flyers to other businesses to try and get more customers. They also expect you to make sales calls to try to get previous paid-out customers to come back...you can call 100 people and 3 might say "maybe" but they've yet to come in. This company targets low-income and low-educated people. People that want that fancy 4K tv, but instead of working to save for it, they come in when they have some spending money and make a one month payment and get it delivered within two days (or take it home), just to realize a month later when they're a week past due, that they can't come up with this payment every month for a 12, 18, or 24 months. So they bring it back missing the remote (which isnt cheap to replace) or they demand you to come get it...then you pick it up and it's roach infested. Guess who has to clean it? And smell roaches? (Yeah...they have a distinct smell) and touch this nasty stuff? Me. I've had roaches crawl off of merchandise as I'm carrying it out of a customers home, onto my skin. Onto. My. Skin. For $11.11 an hour?

    Advice to Management

Stop making it so easy for people to just up and return merchandise. It's hard to resell something when it smells like the dump even after you've rug doctored it 3 times. Allow the accounts department to speak to these delinquent account holders like they are adults who are STEALING. When you don't renew your lease agreement, you are committing theft. Hold them accountable instead of holding their hand and letting them lie about not having any money. Your slogan is "Own it"....you so desperately want us sales people to make the customer feel as if they own it...but then we beg them for a payment 30 days later. That is complete madness.
