      Progressive, Collaborative, Team Oriented

      Pros

Growth-oriented company with great leadership. Unique collaboration with various roles/departments/levels of experience to engage employees and allow open thought and question the status quo. Employees are heard and regarded as great contributors to the success of initiatives. They strive to be thorough and provide a quality user experience.

      Cons

A lot of fingers in the pot to achieve consensus, but they do work through the process to find superior solutions.

I've been in a crazier place in my entire life with more negative people

      Jan 15, 2022 - Sales Representative

      Pros

Great gym, free food, clean building, plenty of parking, lots of cool co-workers.

      Cons

Too many to count but this place was the worst place I've ever worked in my life. When someone got promoted they'd get "shift manager" syndrome and start putting others down, watching the clock and being sure you didn't spend more than 4 minutes in the bathroom and if you fraternized or took a walk to get coffee with someone your boss didn't like you'd get written or or the stink eye and you'd be next on the layoff list. One of these managers has apparently been promoted and she belittles others, and rips people down and promotes negativity and tearing others down.

      Avoid at all costs

      Pros

I got paid to be there

      Cons

Senior management were unbelievably bad. Completely clueless about to how to operate a successful company. It wasn't uncommon for entire departments to resign and move jobs within days of each other. The only place I've ever worked where multiple employees left to earn less money at another company just to escape the place. Sales staff were forced to work weekends under threat of being fired if they didn't. This was despite being contracted 9 to 5 Mon to Fri.

Your bachelor's degree would just go to waste here

      Jan 12, 2022 - Business Development Representative
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

The benefits are not even good as well as the pay. But it's decent at the least.

      Cons

The main role of this job is to make outbound calls to get prospects and schedule an appointment for them. In short, your job is to do cold calling the entire day. Your bachelor's degree would just go to waste here.

      Core Problem: Management's incompetence

      Dec 26, 2021 - Account Executive
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

It is very hard, I guest it is just a good product in a very interesting space. Platform is solid with good value preposition to get the attention of prospects.

      Cons

Incompetent management. That is the core problem. The company does not care about its employees, particularly during a pandemic; it's all about the numbers. Constant chhurn of employees makes them lose the culture in record time. Access to top management makes for a toxic, political environment rather than healthy, collaborative culture. Some of thhe top employees from last year are gone - either fired or resigned due to frustrations.

      Pros

      - Game Room for breaks -Good location

      Cons

      - Horrible Executive management (2017), call employee out for mistakes in front of the entire company - Always felt like returning to work, it would be taped off due to a raid based on CEO and CTO experience prior to the purchase of Abacus. - Told to tell customers opposite when things weren't functioning, and to upsell

Bad Management. Good coworkers (mostly). Bad pay. Terrible benefits. No growth.

      Pros

For me, Abacus provided a multitude of professional obstacles to better my skills, and work outside of my comfort zone. Working with a diverse group of employees in various departments is what probably kept me there for years.

      Cons

Political corruption from C-level execs, and HR. Everything you've read about previous CEO cult and current heads are true. Consider it two groups of friends that go around, business to business, in search of profits at the expense of hard-working and under appreciated employees. Quarterly check-ins with your manager is non existent. Raises are pretty much out of question, and benefits are TERRIBLE compared to competitors. PRO TIP: any time a job description lists a 20 minute yoga class as a 'benefit" is filling in for something. Way too many burnt bridges from managers towards vendors, and when employees get let go, consider that bridge burned as they will turn their back on you as quick as the door closes sadly. Pre-Covid... Execs were constantly spending more money booking expensive flights to the HQ than the Sales team was bringing in.
