    Pros

    The people
    the product you're making
    and little perks of quarterly dinners
    If you're Filipino you're pretty positive to get hired 😞

    Cons

    If you're a temp you're a nobody unfortunately the supervisor was more into being around his own race and blindly ignoring all the inappropriate stuff they were doing but hey it is what is
    If u experience racism or anything that makes u feel bad in a work place don't hesitate to call HR because closed mouths don't get fed

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to look into supervisor with negative motives
    Letting go of people to save their own behinds is unethical

    Pros

    Good work life balance, products are awesome

    Cons

    Temps do not have the ability to become full time employees unless you been around for years. No real room to grow especially since it is dependant on sales growth.

    Advice to Management

    Company has great potential with the right structure and fairness provided for all, not depandent on what division you work for.

    I have been working at Abaxis as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Work is picking up quickly, so I expect they will be hiring more soon. No one has been fired while I have worked there.

    Cons

    Multiple safety concerns have not been addressed despite promises by management to do so. We work with formaldehyde without a fume hood or nearby eyewash. Pays below industry standard.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to employees' concerns and act on your promises.

    I have been working at Abaxis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Technically Savvy and well educated colleagues.

    Cons

    No Culture, many managers are either inexperienced, uneducated or not up to the task.

    Advice to Management

    Use anonymous internal surveys to assess morale and then act on the results. Include employees at all levels when making certain decisions as opposed to keeping them in the dark. Take attrition rates seriously and use exit interviews to REALLY find out why an employee is leaving.

    I worked at Abaxis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    As a Veterinary Technician the products could make your job easier- if they work.
    Great group of clinics to work with across the country.

    Cons

    Management of the customer service group is poor at best.
    No training given- you are supposed to figure it out yourself.
    "Customer service" is all lip service- it's all about the number of calls made per day, not about the end result (happy customers and higher sales)

    Advice to Management

    When an employee goes to HR to report their manager for harassment and retaliation take it seriously. You should do actual exit interviews with people who have left the customer service department to find out what is really going on.

    Good Product
    Good bonuses on plan
    Freedom to operate your territory independently
    tech support and customer service very professional

    Cons

    Travel allowance was poor
    Car and gas reimbursement was poor
    Pay to get extended health coverage
    very competitive market
