Flexible work schedule is the best here at AbbVie. People are still valued even if they work from home or different work hour schedule.

Honestly, I believe the pay is not competitive with the rest of the market after an employee has been within the company for years.

Abbvie offers excellent benefits and has a nice café. Your hours are flexible depending on what the need of your department is and the technology used is good.

At Abbvie, I struggle with the open concept working environment. It is very difficult to focus and you have absolutely no privacy. With my experience, I do not feel my manager is supportive when it comes to work related issues, doesn't follow through and your voice may be heard but not taken seriously.

The work environment is extremely relaxed and friendly. There is always a good balance between having fun and being productive. There is always flexibility with hours and so far interning here has been an amazing experience.

There are not any real cons that I can think of. A small thing might be to get more in person interactions between project managers and interns.

AbbVie has a huge commitment to workplace culture and has some of the brightest people working in R&D. I can’t imagine working anywhere else!

Long hours might be expected by your department (especially if you do not have familial obligations). Be clear about boundaries!

I have learnt a lot in my position and have been given opportunity to progress. There is a general sense both in myself and from the work colleagues that the organisation promotes friendly and productive reltionships at work.

Despite continuous negative feedback work life balance remains major challange. It is not possible to meet deadlines without putting in extra hours on a daily basis.

Smart and collaborative colleagues. Entrepreneurial environment where you are empowered to make decisions. A familial environment where most have families and are respective of kids school activities and flexible hours as needed.

As few legacy old school folks who play the blame game rather than focusing on addressing the problem and moving forward.

I seriously cannot think of any negatives seeing that my last job was in the military which demanded long hours and was non-collaborative. Definitely a huge step up.

I loved the environment at AbbVie. I worked as a creative intern but learned so much more about the company and the prescriptions that the sell.

It was rough getting to AbbVie every morning. It was about an hour drive there and about 2 hours home at the end of the day
