Close knit environment, takes great care of their employees, listens to input from all, low turnover rate, room to grow, excellent benefits

I worked at Abbey Carpet (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work. Great people. Owner accessible and pay is great. Hours are right on target with others and benefits are pretty good too.

    Cons

Can not really say there are many. The location is pretty busy which is good, but sometimes too busy with the amount of people they have coming in.

    Advice to Management

management is great and great to work with. They let you do your own thing without getting in the way, but there a big help when you need them.

I have been working at Abbey Carpet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is great at the corporate office, very friendly and helpful. The best part is part of the complex is a beautiful garden that includes a couple of waterfalls and many koi fish

    Cons

Challenges were learning the company names we worked with and the process of job.

    Advice to Management

I was released from work after two weeks only reason I was given was that "it was not working out", my direct supervisor was shocked and very upset she said I was a great worker that caught on quick, I had no idea I was going to be fired and have no idea what I did to be fired. I would say that if they feel the need to fire someone then they should give a reason that gives details for the reason not just "it's not working"

I worked at Abbey Carpet full-time

    Pros

    Health/Dental/Vision/Life insurance. Hours are average.

    Cons

Unless you have worked at Abbey Corporate for more than 10 years, stay away!! There is no opportunity to grow and the chances of getting a raise are slim to none. They like to take advantage of the young/innocent. Credit is never given where it is due and more times than not everything is a "secret" and you are just expected to know things. Job responsibilities are piled onto your work load without any incentive or pay increase.

    Advice to Management

Take into consideration the opinions/ideas/suggestions of your employees. Sometimes, it's teamwork that can make things happen and work in ways that only benefit the company.
