I have been working at Abbey Residential full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get paid biweekly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ there isn't anything "positive" about this company. The commissions and pay are super low. All the properties talk about each other and gossip instead of empowering one another. Regionals make up things and join in on the gossip. Very very micromanaged.

    Cons

Unprofessional. Probably the most unprofessional company in this industry. They do not care about employees or residents. If you aren't in corporate, you are not cared about, your opinion doesn't matter.

    Advice to Management

Get it together and this company could be much much more advanced than it is now. This company has been around for how long? & you guys are stuck in the same position when this company started out. Owners need to get rid of regionals and start over!!!!! This is the most tackiest and unprofessional company I've ever worked for.

I have been working at Abbey Residential full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Abbey's policies and procedures are clear and protect both the residents and the property/company, support received from corporate, great benefits, great team bonding experiences!

    Cons

would love to know more about where the company is heading on the larger scale and overall company growth, billing system could be more efficient (vendor and utility bills are handled directly by on-site staff instead of a 3rd party), employees are still required to accept paper pay stubs, even though information is available online

    Advice to Management

could be more tech-friendly and green

    Pros

Love the family atmosphere fostered by upper management, involvement in GBAA events, willingness to teach/guide in various areas, never a boring day :)

    Cons

Would like to know more about Abbey's "Big Picture," including planned expansion and opportunities for growth

    Advice to Management

Be a little more open to creating a bigger internet presence and incorporating more new technology

    Pros

Compensation and Bonuses are fair and in line with other property management companies. Company offers great benefits and 401K

    Cons

Residents are not treated very well. as Customer service is not a priority, There is lots of employee turn over at this property due to the manager. She leaves early EVERY day and takes long lunches. She lets her personal life interfere with work a lot. She is never available for residents. Corporate needs to wake up!!

    Advice to Management

Talk to your current and previous employees and find out what is going on at this property! This property is in a nice area and has wonderful residents but it could be so much better with the right staff in place. You have lost great employees in the past - myself and others due to lack of management at this property.

    Pros

Improving some older properties. On site managers are decent.

    Cons

Upper management is a joke, not sure how they got jobs. Been in the business a few years and these are the most unprofessional, unorganized people I've ever worked with. Competency is definitely in short supply. I got out of there as soon as possible.

    Advice to Management

Get another job, all of you.

I worked at Abbey Residential full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

one of the reasons i took this job was because i tough i have found a company that respects its employes this company hires managers with absolutely no experience, and expects maintenance to do everything for them including paper work. my manager was ex trimly ignorant when it came to do her job do to a lack of experience, this lady was very disrespectful to our residents and employes calling names. from insulting to the F word.i reported this to human resources but nothing was done about it this shows you how bad the apartment industry treats maintenance employes especially this company. I strongly do not recommend this company.

    Cons

    i meet some good people.

    Advice to Management

consider you employes, end the racist issues within property managers especially in the woodland area calling outside employes really bad names, more training office staff and outside staff.
