Good, but may not be for everyone
Apr 28, 2022 - Quality Engineer in Tuas,RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Plenty of learning opportunities - Not shy of giving you responsibilities to take up - Relatively nice crowd of people to work with
Cons
- Lean management, expected to take up different hats. At times can feel overwhelming - Different ideologies of working style between site and division level can create challenging situations - Only recently started to look at work life balance after poor survey showing which affects plant awards
- Current Intern, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
- good work environment - some colleagues were genuinely nice and helpful - many opportunities to learn, bosses were great mentors - good exposure to healthcare and medical device sector
Cons
- management is very profit driven with unrealistic expectations - personally as an intern i felt no cons as there was a nice work life balance

Pros
Had a few good coworkers
Cons
If you’re looking for an innovative, forward thinking company, I wouldn’t recommend working here. Management style is pretty antiquated and hasn’t evolved to meet the changing wants/needs of today’s workforce. They offer little schedule flexibility and you have to work in the office. Work life balance isn’t encouraged and neither are new ideas that could potentially improve existing processes.

No real brand management or strategy. If you want brand experience stay away!
Apr 4, 2016 - Brand ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Employees are friendly, good location, cafeteria is inexpensive, free parking, and an on-site workout facility.
Cons
Bad work plans, not empowering, no strategy for the future, no real brand management, top down management, very bad work/life balance, work is not rewarding, and no real actionable innovation. No training to speak of and leadership has a high amount of discord, separation, and back stabbing. Extremely high turnover as people last very little across roles especially in marketing. Promised great and challenging brand work and work/life balance which are all far from the reality and truth. No diversity to speak of especially above manager level. Do not accept relocation unless you plan to stay 3 years as they ask you to sign a 3 year agreement and do not tell you the cost of the relocation until after it is complete and you get a tax record but that is not all encompassing and they will have almost 50% not reported there which you do not find out about until you put in 2 weeks notice. They also will bend the rules for some and not for others, and 'others' tend to be diverse. They have an entire internal relocation collections department that is fully staffed to collect relocation from departing employees.

Paralysis by analysis!!
Aug 15, 2014 - Finance Manager in Columbus, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good lateral opportunities if you are willing to relocate. Good benefits
Cons
Management is too reactive and not proactive enough and doesn't care about input from anyone under VP level. This causes horrible work life balance as you are constantly asked to provide more and more meaningless projects. This work environment doesn't allow you to look forward and do productive projects. You work for months to develop a budget and forecast with solid, supported backup, however Mgmt does't care or listen. They tell you what your numbers are going to be…defeats the purpose of 'building' a budget. Mgmt could have just said what number they wanted and saved everyone a lot of time and effort. Be prepared to kiss up, or you don't move up in the company. VERY political.

Good company, great products, but struggling
May 29, 2013 - Anonymous Employee in Columbus, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good company, great products that improve quality of life, and good benefits. Overall good environment.
Cons
Company is going in the direction of more lean practices. Too lean since company split from Pharmaceutical division. 2013 and 2014 will be interesting. Not enough promoting from within or recognition of hard work. Little to no work life balance but company says they are a big promoter of this.

Do not work here
Sep 2, 2014 - Anonymous Employee in Alameda, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working here will give you exposure to medical devices and allow for decent work life balance. It is one of the few companies that still offer a pension. Relaxed environment however, this also hampers efficiency and efficacy.
Cons
Politics, unfair hiring practices, no accountability for senior management. Hierarchical, no real development pathways just ride the coattails of whomever has the most influence. Tend to be on the low end for compensation in the Bay area.
