    Pros

The company pays well compared to most retailers. Once you get past being an Assistant Manager (which usually doesn't take more than a year) the pay is very competetive. The company is expanding internationally extremely rapidly which is opening up thousands of positions and people are moving through the company very quickly. You can become a District Manager in 3 years or less if you are competent and impress the right people. Most other companies you are looking at 10-20 years to reach that point. I did it in 3 years and I know people who have done it even more quickly than me.

    Cons

Its a retail job so when you start out the hours aren't always easy to get used to and it is a fast-paced environment so it can be high stress at times. Also you are dealing with customers alot, but thats retail in general.

    Advice to Management

You could be a bit better at offering up praise for hard work and a job well done. Give your employees more of an incentive to work hard.

    Pros

The job is extremely flexible. If you need off that day, you can usually find someone or the store will take a call in. It is amazing for someone in college. It is also extremely laid back. They have sales goals you are supposed to meet, but there was more of a focus on maintaining, at our store at least, then customer service second.

    Cons

The discount, pay, and sometimes the hours. I never had a problem getting hours since I was with the company for a while (sometimes I would work up to 40 hours) while other employees would get one or 2 days. Call ins - you have 1 or 2 a week and you call an hour before to see if they need you. You can never make official plans

    Advice to Management

Work on a better discount than the AAA's. Competitors are giving much better discounts and paying more, this could be part of the high turnover each store experiences.

Flexible hours, friendly co-workers, decent discount, not very demanding, not that many customers, easy to get time off, fun environment

    Cons

standing for hours, music playing in the store can get too loud to bear for a long time, some managers are clueless as to what is going on. Get paid minimum wage

    Advice to Management

Be more aware of what is going on in the store in order to provide a better customer experience. Hire more individuals so that there are enough people to assist customers.

You work at ANF for the reputation and prestige the name brings with it in the retail industry. Make the most of your opportunity through networking and you should be rewarded. Especially after college, it is a great place to start a career in the corporate retail world and serves as amazing training for your next company. Ongoing worldwide expansion over the next 5 years makes this the place to be.

    Cons

Jobs are specialized and most employees are relegated to unique, repetitive, time-intensive tasks, but that's how you learn. To me, it always seems like families and people with babies get promoted faster. I doubt that that is true, though.

    Advice to Management

Everyone is so super busy I feel that it is easy to get lost in trying to find that mentor. While managers have a duty to the business, they can't forget their duty to their internal employees.

    Pros

The atmosphere of the store is awesome. The managers make it easy to allow time off when an employee needs it. You make life long friends, there is a lot of opportunities with in the company for advancement.

    Cons

Treat other employees or associates better compared on their ranking. If a model is a cast off they receive special privileges. Basically it is a company based on looks. If you aren't good looking you won't be able to work there.

    Advice to Management

Just continue to do what you do. Make sure everyone is treated fairly and that you continue to build a level of personalism as well as professionalism
