I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I had a wonderful experience here. I started at Abercrombie kids when I was 17 and when the store was shut down, moved over to Abercrombie. It was mindless work with a great atmosphere and amazing people to work with. I liked the fact that the managers weren't much older than I was as they were easy to get along with but still very efficient at their job. I worked here for 5 years and after going off to college I loved having the ability to still work when I came home on breaks and
    summer.

    Cons

I honestly don't have any cons! I loved working on the floor, register and assisting in floor designs. My only con is any position in retail where you're constantly refolding clothes, but you should know what you're getting in to!

    Advice to Management

The Champaign store has closed, and its been 6 years since I've left, but I had a fantastic experience here!

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - working with brilliant associates and very talented management

    - a lot of latitude and trust in the responsibilities given to associates (fun/cool opportunities)

    - the campus is state of the art. beautiful.

    - team environment

    - great PTO structure if you are salary... especially if you are there 5+ years!

    - managers who invest in developing you professionally

    - recognized for my contributions and promoted multiple times

    Cons

While I heard associates grumble about working too much, I think that is an individual's decision to leave/not leave at the end of the work day. I never had a manager approach me and tell me that I needed to stay later...

    Advice to Management

Kudos for making a fantastic work environment and handling the growth gracefully!

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment for college age people seeking part-time employment. You will meet a lot of people with similar interests. Also, will receive a great discount on their clothes

    Cons

The pay is minimum wage and you will get minimal hours per week. Must abide by a very strict dress code which is basically only wearing their brand of clothes.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are someone who takes pride in their work, this is a great place to showcase your talents and commitment. It's great for detail and result driven people. There are also many to advance in the company, whether that be the management route, or the home office route, and lots of opportunities for everyone to learn.

    Cons

Most positions require someone who is very detail oriented, so be prepared for that.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, because it seems to be working!
